Warped reality part 5.01


	With no small amount of trepidation Conrad knocked on the door.  
[ I hope that this is not what I think it is] he thought to himself.  [otherwise 
we could be in for some trouble.]

	< Hello welcome to the Tendo training hall, how may I help you?> 
asked a young woman wearing a yellow Gi.  

	[ Damn it is what I think it is.]  < Hello I was wondering if we could 
stay here for a while and train at your dojo.> Con answered.  Giving Ami a 
'trust me I know what I'm doing look'.

	< Well, I suppose we have enough empty rooms, but I will have to 
call Nabiki to find out what the proper rate for rooms are now.> Akane 
answered.  < In the meantime please come in.  Do you have any previous 
experience in martial arts?>

	< I don't have enough time to practice martial arts.> said Ami.  < I 
have had much too much work to do for school to spend any time at it before.>

	< I have just started Kendo but am not very good yet.> answered 
Conrad.  

	< Hm, well I'm sure that between myself, Ryoga and Kunou we can 
get you into shape in no time flat.> was her reply as she lead them into the 
main part of the building.  

	Waiting for them was a young man wearing a black and yellow 
bandanna on his head.  < Hello let me introduce myself.  I am Tendo Ryoga 
and this is my wife Akane.  Welcome to the Tendo school of martial arts.  I'll 
let Akane show you around but be sure that you are ready for classes to start 
tomorrow at 10:00. > He said.
	
	Conrad was standing in stunned disbelief, [ Tendo Ryoga, wife Akane?] 
so Ami broke the silence first.  < Hello my name is Mizuno Ami and I am pleased 
to meet you.  This is my friend Conrad Borsting.  Thank you very much for 
allowing us to live here with you.>

	< Oh think nothing of it.> said Akane,  < With Nabiki and Kasumi out 
of the house and Ranma off in china we have many extra rooms.  You can use 
the first two down this hall.  The bath is the last door on the left and the kitchen 
is right though there although we don't use it much.>

	< Really?>  said Con.  < Do you think that it would be alright if I used 
it to make diner with.  I am a pretty good stir-fry cook.>  Conrad said.  

	< Of course you can use the kitchen.  Its been too long since we have 
had a good home cooked meal.> Ryoga told him, earning a painful looking 
blow in the stomach form Akane.  

	< We will leave you two to settle in now.> Ryoga said. < and don't 
forget your first class tomorrow at 10:00>

	< OK Conrad what's going on here?> asked Ami.  < Want to know 
what is going on here and why you wanted us to stay here.>

	"Well it is kind of complicated." he answered.  "In my home world 
there is a comic called Ranma 1/2.  It is about a boy who is cursed to change 
into a girl when he gets wet.  But it doesn't stop there,  he is engaged against 
his will to his fathers best friends daughter.  Basically what happens is that 
any girl he meets is somehow for some reason trying to marry him while every 
guy wants to kill him and marry Akane.  This of course gets more interesting 
because everyone involved is, of course, an incredibly good martial artist.  
Ryoga for example is very strong and has mastered several techniques that 
allow him to demolish walls with a touch.  He also was cursed to turn into a 
little black pig.  The biggest difference that I have seen so far is that Akane 
has married Ryoga when everyone always thinks that she will marry Ranma 
in the comic.  I also think that the curses are probably not part of this world, 
it seems a bit farfetched to me."

	"Complicated is a good word for it" Ami agreed.  "But I don't think 
that we can rely on all of what you know.  Also what would be a better 
question is why are we here, and how are we going to get home."  

	"I don't know, I hope we can figure it out though." Con said.  With 
that they went to their rooms and prepared to go to bed.  [ I think maybe I will 
try to find cologne and ask her for help] thought Con, [ in the morning.]
