I've never had to snip a subject field before...
   Okay. While I'm faily easygoing about grammar (and lack thereof), I
quite simply have no confidence in an editor who wrote the attached
letter. A recruiting letter full of basic error in spelling and
punctuation is emphatically NOT the way to go looking for writers. 
   I would also like to raise doubts on the legal ramifications if the mag
intends to publish fanfics. We use other peoples character's, here.
Internet release is one thing; a magazine...well, that's something else.
   Finally, if original works are submitted....WATCH YOUR COPYRIGHT! I do
a semi-regular series for a reputable fiction magazine, and I'm always
careful to get legal ownership of my works before I turn them in. Even if
the mag is straight, anyone who reads it can reprint or sell your work if
you don't get a copyright.
   Sorry 'bout the rant. :)
