You don't write in English-English either, do you? I mean, do you guys down
there actually *speak* English-English? <g>

Closer to English than that nasal whine which the average American uses.

Besides, we *like* our Aussie drawl ;)

I've got a Midwestern-Southern-New Joisy drawl. Does that get me anything
(besides making me *very* hard to understand at times?) <g>

(one of my favorite TV commercials of the past year was for Foster's Lager.
It showed a surfer, then a shark swimming, then the surfer again, and a
voice with a very distinct Australian accent says "Lunch". Then it cuts to
a very large can of Foster's, and the voice says "Beer" ;)

Had to have been an American surfer, and an Aussie Shark ;)

Another Foster's commercial has this really huge steak sizzling on the
grill. They take the steak off, put it on a plate, and add a tiny bit of
green garnish. And the Voice (Paul Hogan, I think) says "Salad". Then the
cut to the very large can of Foster's :)
