MI, yes. UY, yes. Ranma, no. Sorry. I just sat down and typed
out how VIZ pronounces them. Kun-chan did a VERY nice synopsis
on how the JAPANESE version pronounces the names. Please 
refer to that if you think "I am joking."

This is another reason I prefer subs :) (But I really don't care either
way...providing it's not a Screamline dub, those I try to avoid :P )

First off... in some names, u goes unpronounced... like...
Shinnosuke = Shin-no-s'kay

I heard it in the Hinako OAV and it took me a couple times to hear it as
"dais'kay"...

They pronounce Ukyou about 40 different ways.

Tell me about if *grumble* on IRC I use Ukyou and I stick with the
"oo-key-oh" pronunciation

Don't worry, Misa-chan....It generated some posts on an otherwise slow day
:) and it was actually HELPFUL (eventually :P ) so it's OK :)  Just 'cause
SOME PEOPLE aren't nice enough to be kind to people trying to HELP dosen't
mean everybody is the same as they are...Think back to someone (I can't
really recall the name, and if I could I wouldn't say it) saying that
Kun-chan just dosen't like Shampoo 'cause Shamp's better looking thanshe
is...THAT person is prime flame-bait in my eyes, as is everyone who says
things like that...
