Folks, I've seen this time and time again and I'm getting a tad frustrated
(nothing against you personally here Jeff). But why post this privately? The
ratio of spam to actual talk about fanfiction is so overbalanced on the spam
side that it's a welcome sight to see C&C on the list itself.

it to the list. If the C&C contains information more suited to a private
reply then so be it. But if the discussion of fanfics on the list itself can
generate a larger readership and in turn help the author with his/her craft,
then why isn't it being done more often? Don't be shy folks! Post it to the
list :)
Well, I'm as guilty of private posting C+C from list-posts as anyone else.
I guess maybe we should start posting all C+C to the list unless the author
specifically requests private C+C. But, unless it's info of a personal
nature, how do you determine what sort of info is more suited to a private
reply?
