I made the mistake of not being able to get my mail until today...last
time I checked was last Wednesday.....big mistake......waht a huge pile
of the stuff....
Stepping out on a ledge I'dd like to throw a couple of
things into the fray and then dodge the feedback.

That's all fine and dandy, but if you badmouth Piers Anthony,
Hmmm...o.k in medeum doses but as soon as whatever is being read gets
beyond a certain number of pages it feels like you are there for the word
count rather than the story......I really liked the Tarot series....for
the first trilogy....Xanth seemed to breed like ...um I don't
know...something nasty....
Anne Mccaffrey....some of her stuff just does not have the life it once
did...other works still have magic....
something like Mercedies Lackey... (serious spelling errors here
folks....me no ther) > Robert Asprin
Again after a few books unless it becomes a different series Myth vrs
M.Y.T.H. inc.....I find most writers who do book versions of computer
games tend to get...I don't know...a little bla... excptions to this..
(in my opinion ) is the X-com book....which was good but could have
beeter made it as at least two books as it felt a little rushed and the
first two Wing Commander books....I can't think of enythig in this
split-genre other than that off the top of my head.....I find that a lot
of writers try to capitalize on the sucess of their characters and most
often faill with repeated volumes...
 Gleen Cooks's Garret Series....now that's a different story...it's cool.....

                                                 Neil
...
oh ya, the Riddlemaster of Hed series...horrible series from a good
writer...bloody thing always puts me to sleep.
