There is a difference between what they DESERVE and what actually happens.
Was it mentioned that the law should be changed to give them what they
deserve? No. It just stated the difference between what SHOULD be done and
what IS done.

     Sorry, Kun, but you are blatently wrong. You said "the law has

punishment for rape should lie outside the laws. The logical extention
of this is that punishment for rape should allow anything, including
means which are more psychologically and/or physically damaging than
the act of rape itself.

    I disagree with your "logical extension". Mine is a quick chop, 
either at the neck level or groin level, your choice. No torture or 
any of that shit, I refuse to lower myself to their level. What 
rapist go is totally inexcusable and the punishment SHOULD be 
permanent. If some prissy lawyer type ( and I can flame lawyers all I 
want 'cos my SO is one in training ) allows three years minus time 
off for good behavior then what a rapist DESERVES is outside the law.
