Oh? What about the cruel and unusual punishment a woman (or a man) has
inflicted on themselves when getting raped? Do they deserve that? No. I

"on themselves." we can't help it if someone puts themselves through
emotional pain.

will not go into my diatribe about the habit of our government to favor
the rights of the criminal over those of the victim. Yes, if a man commits
rape, he DOES deserve cruel and unusual punishment, MORESO if that crime
is child molestation. The act commited can ruin a life, and the criminal
deserves NO LESS in return!

i don't think that cruel and unusual punishment is warranted ANYWHERE.
i am in favor of jail for a long time for rapists, personally...that
keeps 'em away and hopefully makes 'em sorry. jail is no party.
the whole point of our punishment system, imho, is 1. to keep the public
safe by sequestering criminals 2. to instill a sense of remorse in the
criminal and hopefully cause him not to commit crimes any more.

in addition, suppose you were innocent of the crime you were accused of?
ever seen "The Shawshank Redemption"? that's just a movie, but the
premise of the movie is an all-too-often-truth.
