Well...  You see Akane ducked down behind Ryoga as Ryoga takes the blow 
for her, but Nabiki has her hands on Kuno's back, making it look like he 
had no idea he'd end up being so heroic to her... :)

Then there's "Oh, Cursed Tunnel Of Lost Love.  Let My Love Be Forever" 
where Nabiki is dragging along an unconscious Kuno and that Lantern ghost 
dives at her.  She quickly cries out "Look out!" and pulls Kuno in front 
of her.  The ghost hits Kuno in the head and explodes into flames.  Kuno 
wakes up long enough to gasp out, "w-w-what dis I ever do to deserve 
this?!" and Nabiki says "Oh, Kuno-baby.  You saved me..." (the English 
dubbed version...)
