Not at all. Chris apparently thought up the story idea on FFMLmud, during
a discussion on how a fanfic could get Akane to wind up with someone other
than Ranma (or vice versa). One idea (proposed by a countrywoman of yours)
was to send one of them on a foreign exchange program to Austrailia or
somewhere, giving the other an opportunity to fall for one of the rivals.
Akane/Ryoga, Ranma/Ukyo, etc. Chris whipped out the Gos idea, and.....
   And watch the Yankee bit, bud. :)
