			Part IV: The Hunt
	BUZZ! BUZZ! BUZZ! CLICK!
I hit the alarm clock. It read 10:30. I looked around and saw
that Hanny was still asleep and that Mike was up already since he was
an earlier riser. I woke up Hanny.
"Hey, Hanny," I called to him. I sat up. "Wake up! I had the
strangest dream. I dreamed that this white cat jumped into the bath tub
I was in while at the Tendo's and Shampoo appeared before me." I
heard a meow from behind me. I turned to look and saw a white cat
behind me.
"That sure was some strange dream," Hanny said, sitting up.
"Maybe it was because Shammy slept next to you last night."
Shampoo-neko did sleep next to my futon last night. I then recalled that
it wasn't a dream but really did happen. I was still in a little disbelief
about her curse. I had told everyone her name is Shammy last night.
"I'm going to get some breakfast," Hanny said. He got up, got
dressed and went to the bathroom. I started to get up but then pain in
my stomach area reminded me of my bruise. It was a little smaller from
using the herbs Kasumi gave me but still was a little big. Shampoo-neko
gave a concerned meow and jumped over to me. "It's OK. I just forgot
about the bruise Akane gave me."
I got dressed, ever so carefully. I picked up Shampoo-neko
and walked to the bathroom. I decided to keep her out of the bathroom
while I did my stuff. I could hear her scratching the door and meowing
while I was in there. I didn't want her to get some warm water, turn
human and start talking to me. My nanny would wonder who was in
there with me.
I got out and immediately picked her up again. I sat down on
the table and set her on my lap. Ken was at school. Mike was there,
fresh and rosy fingered, already having a second helping while Hanny
was gulping down his breakfast. I started eating my breakfast.
"Are you sore, Mike?" I asked him. "I'm not too sore, but I
am a little stiff after fighting Akane."
"I'm pretty sore," Mike answered. "But that's because I've
never sparred before. I think Hanny's a little sore also."
"No, I'm not!" he denied. "I'm fine and I can't wait for our
next practice today." I poked him in the chest. He flinched and started
rubbing it.
"Not sore, eh?" I laughed at him. I felt Shampoo's stomach
growl and heard a meow. I looked at her.
"Is it OK if I give Shammy some of my cereal or toast?"
"I have some milk and fish for Shammy." She replied and
pointed at the corner of the kitchen. It had a small dish of milk and
another dish with raw fish. "I also want you to take her to the vet to
give her shots and buy her a flee collar."
Shampoo-neko hissed at hearing that and nudged into my
bruised stomach again. I picked her up and set her next to the fish and
milk. She must have been very hungry because she started eating.
"Ow! You've got to remember about my bruise," I said to
Shampoo-neko. "I think I'd better go to that Dr. Tofu guy. Man, I keep
thinking of the soy bean product when I say his name. Anyway, I don't
think Shammy would like getting shots or a flee collar. Remember our
agreement?"
"Very well," my nanny sighed. "Here's Dr. Tofu's address.
It's not far so you three can walk. It'll be good training for your martial
arts. You three might want to check out some summer jobs while
you're walking there." I took the sheet of paper and looked at it.
"We'll go right after we finish breakfast," I said. "Can we also
have some money to have lunch while we're out? I think we'll bring
our gi's and equipment with us in backpacks since this is so close to
Tendo Dojo."
We finished the rest of our breakfast, put our slightly wet gi's,
some towels and sparring equipment in three pack backs and headed
out the door. I then remember we forgot Shampoo-neko. I went back
and got her.
"Almost forgot Shammy!" I said to my nanny. "Don't forget
to pick us up around 6 tonight! Don't worry, we'll take showers after!"
I waved and ran out the door to join Mike and Hanny.
			******
It was a beautiful day. A slight breeze with no clouds. It was
around 80 degrees so we were wearing shorts. Mike and Hanny were
wearing T-shirts while I had on a purple tank top. I could tell Shampoo-
neko was happy to see me wearing it. I felt sorry for her to have to have
a fur coat on in this heat.
"Tell Mike about your dream about Shampoo," Hanny told
me. I hesitated for a second but then decided that it would be OK if
Mike heard it and told him.
"Weird dream," he said. Too bad Hanny and he don't know
about my other dream. "That Shampoo is cute. Maybe you should ask
her out. I think she might like you, even if she is engaged to Ranma." I
thought about what he said and looked at Shampoo-neko.
"Why not?" I said. "We'll stop by the Nekohanten later today.
I have some business to attend to with Cologne." We walked a little
more and reached Dr. Tofu's clinic. For some reason, Mr. Panda was
there sweeping the floor.
"Welcome!" a man with glasses greeted us. "You three must
be visiting here for the summer. Akane and Ranma told me a little about
you yesterday. What seems to be the problem?"
"It's a bruise I have on my stomach," I said as I set Shampoo-
neko down and took off my back pack. He motioned for me to lie down
on a bed. "Akane kicked me there while we were practicing yesterday."
"Hmmm... I think I have something for this," he said. He gave
me something for the pain and a pat on the shoulder. "Be a little more
careful today and don't do sit-ups till the bruise is all gone." Mr. Panda
was putting away some stuff. Hanny was being like a shadow,
following him and watching him with careful detail. Mike, however,
was reading some book on a table.
"This is cool," Mike looked up and said. "Hey, Dr. Tofu. Do
you need any help here?"
"Well, things have been a little busier due to summer," he said.
"I don't think Mr. Saotome would mind a little help around here since it
is summer and more people are out late now. You're hired. Be here
around nine for some training."
"Mr. Saotome?!" we all said in unison. I had a thought for just
a split second that Mr. Panda might be also some unfortunate soul that
got cursed. We saw Mr. Panda start writing something on a sign.
"That's right," Mr. Tofu said and pointed at Mr. Panda. "He's
my he-" He stopped short in mid-sentence. We all turned to look at
what he was looking at. We heard people screaming and running away.
"It's her!" someone yelled from outside. "Run if you care for
your life!"
"Hello, Dr. Tofu," came a familiar voice. "I came to return this
book I borrowed." It was Kasumi. Dr. Tofu's glasses started fogging
up. He started getting clumsy.
"Hello there, Kasumi!" he greeted her. "What a surprise to see
you here! Oh, I see you brought three young men with you." He turned
to us . "What's the matter, boys?"
"Um... Dr. Tofu," Hanny started. "We came here to get some
help for Jack's bruise. Are you feeling OK?" Mr. Panda jumped in front
of us with a sign in his hand.
"What's that say?" I asked Mike. I wasn't that great at reading
hiragana yet.
"I think it says, `Dr. Tofu gets like this when Kasumi is
around. If you care for your life, you three better get going.'" Mike said.
I picked up Shampoo-neko. We said good bye to Dr. Tofu and left.
"Weird guy," Hanny said. "He seems to be such a great
doctor. I wonder why he gets like that when Kasumi is there." We
started walking down the street.
"Who knows." Mike answered. "What time is it? I'm getting
hungry." I looked at my watch.
"It's only around 11:30!" I said. "You just ate an hour ago!"
"But I didn't eat much," he argued. "Let's go find a restaurant
to eat lunch."
"Fine," Hanny said. "Let's look for one but as soon as it's
noon, we go in the one closest to us." We all nodded and started
walking down towards the busy part of Tokyo.
			******
It took us about 15 minutes to find something that looked
interesting. It was the only thing that all three of us agreed on trying.
"Hmm.. Ucchan's," Mike said. "Sounds interesting. Wonder
what they serve here." The three of us walked in.
It was busy with 4 tables filled with people. We saw Ukyou
working furiously on a grill. It looked like she was making pancakes.
She looked up.
"Welcome to Ucchan's!" she said. "Please seat yourse- Oh,
you three troublemakers! Are you here to pay your tab?" She stopped
cooking and looked at Mike.
"Uh, yes," Mike answered. "We're also here for lunch." She
grabbed her giant spatula that was on her back. "Hey, we'll leave if you
just ask us nicely!" We started walking out the door backwards.
She went over to a bucket of water on the floor. She picked it
up and threw it out the door right past us. "And stay out, Tsubasa!" she
yelled. I saw the bucket fly out over a wall, screaming with a head and
two arms sticking out. We blinked at each other.
"Let's go back in," Mike said. "I think my hunger is making
me see things." We walked back in. To our surprise, Ukyou threw three
small spatulas at us. I dropped Shampoo-neko.
I quickly grabbed the one heading towards me and reached
over to grab the one heading for Hanny. I did a turning step and
blocked the one going at Mike with the other two spatulas in an X
formation. As if on instinct, I threw the two spatulas in my hand back at
her before the third one fell to the ground at my feet. It cut the ribbon in
her hair into thirds and her long hair dropped down. I picked up the
spatula on the floor. It was very sharp.
"Great!" she said. "Do you know what would happen if a
health inspector came in while my hair isn't tied?" She grabbed another
ribbon out of her apron and tied up her hair again. "Sorry, for throwing
those at you, I thought you were that transvestite Tsubasa. Please have
a seat." She went back to cooking.
I looked at myself in disbelief. I didn't know how I did all that.
I looked at Hanny, who was also in disbelief and staring at me.
Shampoo-neko meowed, trying to get my attention. Mike was also in
disbelief, but in a different way. His jaw was practically dropped on the
floor and he was drooling. He was staring at Ukyou.
"Wow," he muttered, admiring her. His tongue flapped out.
"Could you guys move?" she asked us. "You're blocking the
door." I picked up Shampoo-neko. Hanny and I quickly moved to find
a booth to sit down. I had to drag Mike, who was staring at Ukyou, to
our table. We put down our bags under the table. I put the spatula in
my bag, hoping it won't make a hole in it.
	"Hey, where's a menu?" I asked Hanny.
"I think it's outside on written on a sign," he pointed out the
door. "Want to take a look?" We walked outside to take a look at
what's offered.
	"What's okomiy-, uh oh-koh-no-mee-yah-kee?" I asked
Hanny. He started laughing at me.
"It's pronounced okonomiyaki," he answered. "I remember
being told in Japanese class that it's some sort of a pancake. It appears
it is the only thing on the menu." We walked back in. Mike was still
staring at Ukyou.
"You alright?" Hanny said and waved a hand up and down in
front of Mike's face. Mike came out of it.
"Yeah," he said. "I was just thinking about something. So, did
you guys get some menus?"
"The only thing that is served here is okonomiyaki," I replied.
"I believe you heard of it in Japanese class."
"Great!" he exclaimed. "I've been wanting to try what it is
like." Ukyou walked up to us.
"So, what would you guys like?" she asked with a smile. She
stopped smiling upon seeing Shampoo-neko. She hissed at her. I then
remembered about the rivalry they must have for Ranma.
"First off, sorry about the ribbon," I said. "I don't know what
came over me. Second, who is Tsubasa?" She told us about who
Tsubasa is and why he dresses up in silly costumes.
"Weird guy," Hanny said. "I think we'd all like the house's
special okonomiyaki. This is our first time trying it out so we'd like
something special."
She went back cooking up our order. The restaurant was
starting to get busier. I was glad we got our order in before the big
crowd came.
"You know, Tokyo is getting weirder by the minute," Hanny
said. "It's almost as weird as this place I've heard of in London."
"What's so strange about London," Mike asked, still admiring
Ukyou.
"Well," Hanny began. "There's this guy named Robert, a great
fighter. His dad, who's name I think is George engages Robert to a
daughter of George's life long friend, Sam. Sam lets Robert pick a wife
from his three daughters. Kathy, who is a motherly type, Nicki, who is
really into money and Annie, another good fighter. Annie's older sisters
insist that she take Robert. Turns out that Robert has this rival,
Richard, who is also a good fighter and has an infinite supply wrist
bands that are really sharp that he throws but has a horrible sense of
direction. It also turns out that Robert is engaged to this Shari from
France. His dad keeps messing things up and also engaged him to this
Ursula, a childhood friend of Robert's. Then there's Keith, who's really
good at fencing, who likes Annie but she doesn't like him. Keith has this
sister, Kim, who ends up chasing Robert after saving her from a fall.
She's also really good at gymnastics. Really weird."
"That is strange," Mike said, still looking at Ukyou.
"Three house specials!" Ukyou yelled at us. She threw three
pans at us as if she wanted our orders to fall on top of us.
I stood up. Once again, I did something purely on instinct. I
gently swatted the first pan on the edge with my hand. It landed in front
of Hanny. I caught another pan and bumped the last one on the edge
with the edge of the one in my hand. I sat down with my okonomiyaki
as the last pan landed in front of Mike.
Once again, I was in disbelief as was Mike and Hanny.
Shampoo-neko even looked surprised at my actions. Shampoo jumped
on the table, wanting some of our food but I pushed her down.
"Stay sitting next to me," I told her. "I don't want to get
kicked out of here. OK, this is getting weird. Why are my reflexes so
good today? I never could have imagined doing stuff like this."
"Maybe it's the stuff Dr. Tofu gave you," Mike said. It seemed
logical to me, yet still not right.
"Maybe," I said. "But I've never practiced doing stuff like this
before." I then remembered that Dr. Tofu patted me on my shoulders
when I got off the bed. "Then again, maybe Dr. Tofu did do it. Mike, try
to borrow a book about pressure points and things like that from him
tomorrow."
We started eating our okonomiyaki. I gave a little to Shampoo-
neko. It was very good. Sort of like pizza. We waited till around two
when things started to slow down from the lunch rush to talk with
Ukyou. Finally, she finished her last order.
"Why did you throw our order at us," Hanny asked. "If Jack
didn't catch them, they would have fallen on top of us."
"Well, uh, I'm sorry," she looked down at her feet. "It's just
that you got me a little upset from yesterday and what you did to my
ribbon. Please forgive me."
"There's no problem," Mike said, smiling at her. "Here's the
money I owe you for what I ate and some more for lunch today." He
dug deep into the pockets in his shorts and put some money on a table
in front of her.
"You looked pretty busy today," Hanny started. "Would you
like some help? I'm looking for a summer job."
"I don't see why not," she replied. "But you have to be
disciplined to learn the art of okonomiyaki. You also have to be willing
to be paid minimum wage."
"That's fine with me," Hanny said. "I am interested in learning
how to cook okonomiyaki. I can even keep the store open when you are
at school!"
"Very well," she said. "Come here around noon and I'll start
training you on how to cook okonomiyaki and run the restaurant."
"Good," Hanny said. "See you tomorrow then, boss." I picked
up Shampoo-neko and we walked out onto the street. Two of us have
jobs, and only I need to find one.
"Where to now?" Hanny asked. "We have about two hours
before we need to go to Tendo Dojo."
"It's off to Nekohanten," I said. "I need to talk to Cologne and
uh, Shampoo." I looked at Shampoo-neko again.
"I really think you should ask her out," Mike said. "Maybe
take her to the beach, go swimming or take her ice skating." I knew
swimming was out of the question.
"OK," I said. "Only if you ask Ukyou out! From what I saw,
you really liked her hair down. You are right, though. I love that blue
hair of hers." Mike started blushing.
"It's purple," Hanny said. We started arguing.
	"Blue!"
	"Purple!"
	"BLUE!"
	"PURPLE!"
	"B!"
	"P!"
"Stop it!," Mike yelled at us. "Which way is it to
Nekohanten?" I looked around, trying to see something familiar.
"I think it's this way," I said, pointing. "I recognize some
buildings around here."
			******
It took us about 10 minutes to find Nekohanten. Shampoo-
neko helped show us the way. Mike and Hanny were skeptical about it
at first but soon were convinced.
We went into the Nekohanten. It was empty except for
Mousse, who was wiping a table. He was mumbling something about
Shampoo. He looked up at us without his glasses on.
"Welcome to Nekohanten!" he greeted us and walked up to a
coat rack. "Please have a seat." I went up to him and tapped his glasses
down. "Oh, it's just you three again."
"Yeah, it is," I said to him. "We're not here to eat, at least I'm
not. I'm here to talk to Cologne." Mike and Hanny sat down and had a
glass of water. I walked into the kitchen.
Shampoo went to the faucet and turned on the warm water. It
was very strange watching a cat use both its paws to turn on a water
faucet. She changed back into a human. A naked human. She came up
and hugged me. It was VERY nice to have her hug me in the nude but I
came to my senses.
"Aiyah!" she exclaimed. "Shampoo so happy to spend time
with Jack." I stepped away from her and covered my eyes with the back
of my hand.
"Uh, I think you should put on some clothes, Shampoo." I
said to her. "Where's Great-grandmother?"
"Right here, young one." she said. I turned around and saw
her on her stick. "You were looking for me?" Shampoo left to get some
clothes.
"Yes," I replied. "Why were you messing with my dreams?"
"I did it to see what type of fighter you will be," she said. I
didn't understand what she meant.
"What do you mean `will be,' Great-grandmother." I asked
her. She motioned for me to sit down. I sat down on a stool.
"You see," she began. "I find that you have a lot of potential.
Even more than Ranma. You just need to bring it to your full."
"Potential?" I asked. "I always knew I had potential to do a lot
of stuff but enough to beat Ranma?"
"Yes," she replied. "I am willing to help you train bring all
your potential on one condition."
"What's that?" I asked, hoping it wasn't something too bad.
"You must work here," she said, bluntly.
"Work here?!" I exclaimed and stood up. "That's great! I was
going to ask to work here anyway. Wait, why?"
"I back," Shampoo came in, dressed this time in her work
uniform. She went outside to wait on some tables after giving me
another hug. I sat down again.
"It's because Lin Lin and Ran Ran recently went back to our
village," she said.
"Lin Lin and Ran Ran,?" I asked.
	"I'll explain tomorrow," she said.
"Shampoo!" I heard Mousse exclaim from outside the kitchen.
"I was so worried about y-" He stopped short. I heard him fall to the
floor.
"Shampoo too busy now," I heard her say.
`OK, that's settled," I said. "Now, another question. Why are
you letting Shampoo have a relationship with me AND Ranma?"
"As I said, you have more potential than Ranma," she
repeated. "I can also see that he seems to be more towards Akane than
anyone else. I hate to admit it, but I am giving up. Not only that, but
you are from the mainland."
"Oh, great," I said, throwing my hands in the air. Normally I
would have told her not to give up, but since this is to my advantage, I
kept quiet. "Favoritism due to being born on the mainland. What about
Mousse? He was born on the mainland. Heck, he speaks better Chinese
and Japanese than me. He can read more than I can in it also." Just
then, Mousse walked into the kitchen and went to the back to get
something for his head
"As I said before," she began. "You have more potential than
Ranma, and Ranma is better than Mousse, therefore you will be better
than Mousse."
"So, do I start tomorrow morning?" I asked her.
"Yes, you do," she said. "Get here around ten. I also think
tomorrow should be your last day training at Tendo Dojo. I can teach
you much more than he can."
"Yes, Great-Grandmother," I said. "Oh, are you willing to train
Mike and Hanny also? How did you know I was training there?"
"I know many things, young one ," she said. "You will learn
that very soon. And of course I will train them also. Do not be
surprised, young one. You may have more potential, but they are your
friends and I believe you three could do well as a team. Have you
noticed that your warm feeling went away?"
"You're right," I said. "I haven't been feeling them today at
all. In fact, I completely forgot about them."
"You would like to know what they were, ne?" she asked. I
nodded. "They were the building of your spirit, your chi. You have
been away so long at America that you lost most of it. Too much
television! Since you are so close to where you and your ancestors have
been born, you are regaining it."
"Whoa, wait a minute," I said. "First Shampoo's curse, then
this stuff about potential and now this chi stuff? I always thought that
Sensei in America meant for us to just use adrenaline whenever he
talked about spirit and fighting. Are you saying if I went to the hospital
I was born in, I could kick anyone's butt?"
"No, that is not what he or I meant," Cologne went on. "You
can do anything you want with chi. I will explain more tomorrow." We
headed out the door. Mike and Hanny were having some noodles.
"One more thing about my dream," I said in front of the door.
"Towards the end, I saw this woman with these V shaped markings on
her forehead. Do you know what that means?"
"Yes, I do," she had a concerned look on her face. "This is
more serious than I thought. When I tapped into your dream, someone
or something disconnected me. I was lucky to jam their signal, even
though I don't know how I did it. Those markings are of demons. Now
I must really train you to defeat these demons."
"Demons?," I said in shock. "OK, now I have to fight demons.
Great, my life just got more complicated. Just call me Ghostbuster Jack.
Is it OK if I tell Mike and Hanny about this stuff about my dream,
potential and Shampoo's curse?"
"Yes," she said. "But not now. You must find the right time to
do so." We walked up to Mike and Hanny.
"You guys are going to get cramps during practice," I said to
them. Shampoo was serving some more people as I turned to her. "I'll
see you tomorrow. I'll be working here."
"Aiyah!" she exclaimed again. "Jack going to work here from
now on?" She came up and hugged me again. Mousse was burning up
back in the kitchen from watching Shampoo and me. Mike and Hanny
started laughing.
"Get your bags," I said to them. "Let's go to Tendo Dojo." I
started walking out the door.
"Where's Shammy?" Mike asked as he got up.
"Uh, I left her here for Shampoo to take care of her, right
Shampoo?" I said and blinked at Shampoo.
"Right," she blinked back at me.
"Wonder what's that about," Hanny said as we left. "So did
you ask her out?"
"Uh, no," I said. "I had to talk with Cologne. It was more
important that asking a girl out, you know. Besides that, I don't know
how Ranma might react."
"I don't know if Ranma would be too mad," Mike said.
"Heck, I think he'd be a little happy if Shampoo got off his back. I
don't know about Mousse though."
"Yeah, well," I started. "I did get Cologne's `permission' to
date Shampoo. I think it is much more important to ask a girl's parent
for their permission first. Now I just need Shampoo's. I don't think that
will be a problem." I smiled and continued walking down towards
Tendo Dojo.

Meanwhile, back at where the boys were staying, Ken got a
phone call from someone.
"Hello?" he said as he picked up the phone. "Oh, hi Tojo! I
just got back from school. Nice of you to call again."
"Yeah, hi," Tojo said. "I need to ask you something about
mom's friends' kid and his friends."
"You mean Jack, Mike and Hanny?" Ken asked as he sat
down. "What about them?"
"I just need to know when you guys are going to bring them
over to NIT," he said. "I'll start making some arrangements for them to
have have a place to stay once I know."
"How about July?" Ken asked. "Maybe around the 20th?"
"The 20th will be good" Tojo said. "That's the day after a car
race. I'll ask Keiichi and Belldandy if they can stay at their place. There
should be enough room since they live in a temple."
"Yeah, that's great," Ken said. "I'll tell them after they get
home from martial arts practice."
"They're starting martial arts here?" Tojo asked.
"No, they already started in America and Korea," Ken replied.
"But they look like they just started compared to Ranma, Akane and
the others around here. Maybe they'll actually learn some real stuff
training here." They started laughing.
"Well, I got to go," Tojo said. "Long distance rates are getting
higher over here. Nice talking to you again and thanks. See you in July,
little brother. Say `Hi' to mom for me."
"Yeah," Ken said. "Nice talking to you again. Say `Hi' to
Belldandy and Keiichi for me! See you in July." They hung up.

We got to Tendo Dojo around four o'clock. This time, Tendo-
san was not playing go with Mr. Panda since he was helping Dr. Tofu.
Once again, Kasumi greeted us with her warm smile.
"Hello, again," Kasumi said. "I saw you at Dr. Tofu's clinic.
Isn't he so nutty? Did you go to him to ask him about your bruise?"
"Yeah," I said. "He gave me something and I'm feeling much
better now." We walked into the changing room again. I carefully
grabbed my gi out of my bag, not wanting to cut myself on Ukyou's
spatula that I took. We quickly dressed, put on our belts, put our
clothes in our bags and went out to the training area carrying our
sparring equipment.
"I'm so happy you came back," Tendo-san wept. He was
crying for some reason. We looked at each other in curiosity.
"If there's something wrong, we'll come back tomorrow,"
Mike said. We started walking back into the changing room.
"No, no," he said. "I'm just so happy you came back. These
are tears of joy."
"You know, Hanny," I said to him. "I think Tokyo might be
stranger than that story about London you told us." We started to
stretch out and warm up again. This time there was no Akane to assist
Tendo-san.
"Alright now," Tendo-san said without crying now.
"Yesterday, I wanted to see how well you three learned in the past. That
is why I wanted you three to spar one-on-one. Today, you will be
sparring against each other. It will be every man for himself. I hope you
are warmed up." We looked at each other trying to figure out what to
do.
"Bow!" he said and stepped back. We bowed to each other.
The fight was on.
			******
Each man went into some sort of a fighting stance. They each
knew they the best way to win was to fight one at a time. Mike's
strategy was to dodge Jack's and Hanny's attacks, hoping that they
would hit each other after missing him. Hanny's plan was to attack Jack
first, then go to the less offensive attacks of Mike. Jack's strategy was
similar to Mike's and Hanny's except that he would attack Mike while
dodging Hanny's kick, hoping that they would hit Mike after they
missed.
Jack attempted the first attack. He flinched towards Hanny but
did a step and a turning back to Mike. Mike fell down, having the wind
knocked out of him. Hanny jumped back a little after seeing him come
towards him.
Jack went into the fighting stance with his weight slightly more
back. He started walking around Hanny, who was close to a wall.
Hanny turned to keep his front to Jack. Jack did his roundhouse-turning
side-step behind side thrust kick combination as soon as Hanny's back
was to the wall. He missed with his roundhouse but hit Hanny's arm
with his turning side kick and made a big hole in the wall with his step
behind side thrust kick.
Soun Tendo started weeping. He thought these three were no
threat to his dojo at first but he was wrong. Jack was starting to cause
some damage. He decided that Jack was better than he thought and
certainly better than Hanny and Mike.
Mike finally got up off his feet only to find Hanny throwing
him into Jack. They both went down but Jack got up almost
immediately. He picked up the semi-conscious Mike and threw him
back at Hanny. Hanny dodged and Mike went threw the wall.
Soun Tendo started weeping even more now. There was now
not only one small hole but a big hole also. Hanny and Jack had little
concern for Mike because they were deeply concentrating on each
other. They were, however, a little surprised that Mike didn't die after
being thrown through a wall.
The battle started heating up. It was only Hanny and Jack now.
Hanny knew that even though he had more experience, Jack had had
more recent training. Hanny started remembering his training from
taekwondo. He started an attack plan.
Jack started going up to Hanny. They started a series of
punches, strikes and blocks. It was punch from Jack, block by Hanny.
An uppercut from Hanny, dodged by Jack and a follow up with an
upset punch to Hanny's stomach. After about five minutes of
exchanging strikes and blocks, they moved apart from each other.
"This ends now," said Hanny, who got more hits from their
little melee than Jack. Hanny went for a turning crescent jump kick.
Jack grabbed his leg, tugged Hanny off balance and threw him through
the same wall that Mike, making another rather large hole.
Soun was going nuts now. He was crying rivers. He had to do
something about Jack. He had an idea. He started jumping up and
down. He'll have Ranma spar with Jack tomorrow! That'll get rid of
him.
Jack went out to take a look at Mike and Hanny. Mike was
starting to regain consciousness. Hanny didn't land as hard as Mike did
and was already up.
"Do you guys think I won?" Jack asked. "Or are you ready for
more?" He went into his fighting stance again. Mike and Hanny started
backing up.
"You win, you win," they both proclaimed. Jack helped them
get back into the dojo. They bowed to each other and went back into
line. Soun was still jumping up and down with tears of joy.
"That's it!" he exclaimed. "That's what I'll do!" Mike, Jack
and Hanny started thinking that their sensei was starting to go crazy.
			******
"Uh, Sensei?" Hanny asked to get his attention. "We're done
with our sparring."
"Huh? Oh, yes," he stopped jumping and turned to us. "You
have fought well. What have you learned from this?"
"That Mike can't fight and you have thin walls," I said. Hanny
and I started chuckling at Mike's expense.
"Well, uh, why do you think I wanted you three to spar each
other?" he started looking a little embarrassed. We thought for a
minute.
"To see who is the better strategist," Mike said.
"Yes, that's it!" Tendo-san started weeping again. "You are so
bright. I'm so proud of you! I think you three better start doing a cool
down exercise."
Mike and Hanny started stretching out and rubbing their
bruises. I went over to a punching bag and started kicking it. I started
kicking it lightly to see how tough the bag was. It wasn't too hard so I
started really beating it. I did this for a little while longer then started
doing a kata. Akane walked in with a little black piglet in her arms.
"What's that you are doing?" she asked me. I finished the
kata.
"Oh, hi, Akane. It's called kata," I replied. "I'm surprised you
haven't heard of kata,"
"Of course I have," she said. "I've just never seen the one you
were doing before. What is it?"
"It's called Palgwe Iljon," Hanny answered for me. "It's a
taekwondo kata."
"How do you know a taekwondo kata?" she asked as I went
back to Mike and Hanny and started to stretch out with them.
"Didn't I tell you?" I asked. "My Sensei in America teaches us
karate and taekwondo. That's a cute piglet you got there, what's his
name?"
"His name is P-Chan," she said. "P as in piglet and chan as in
little."
"Cute little thing," Hanny said as he went tried to pet it. P-
Chan gave a loud "Bweee" and Hanny moved his hand back.
"He doesn't like strangers too much," Akane said. "In fact, he
still doesn't like Ranma and he's been here for quite a while now."
"He isn't one of those pigs that you raise and eat later, is he?"
I asked Akane. P-Chan gave another loud "Bwee" as I said that.
"Of course not," she said. "I couldn't imagine eating him. I
have to do some homework now." She got up and left.
"Nice talking to you again, Akane!" I yelled to her. I turned
back to my friends. "You gave me quite a good punch to my ribs,
Hanny. Are you OK from my punches?
"Just, ow, fine," he smiled. "Let's go to the kitchen and get
some ice from Kasumi." We got up, bowed to Tendo-san and went to
the kitchen to find Kasumi.
We got some ice packs and some bandages. My bruise didn't
bother me at all during this practice to my amazement. We went back to
stretch out some more, just to make sure we aren't too sore tomorrow.
We also did it because we didn't want the ice to melt while we take a
shower.
"I'm going to the bathroom to sit in the tub for a while," I said
as I got up to leave.
"Wait," Mike said. "I'll go with you." He got up and started to
walk with me.
"I might as well go too," Hanny said. He got up also walked
up to us.
"Good," I said. "There's something I need to tell you guys and
relaxing in the bathtub would be a good place to do it." We walked into
the bathroom.
We undressed looking up at the ceiling and not at each other.
We put our bandages on our gi's. We will put them on after we take a
bath. I got into the water filled tub first, followed by Hanny and then
Mike.
"So, what's this you needed to tell us," Hanny asked me. We
all slumped down in the hot water.
"Well," I began. "As you know, I got a job at Nekohanten.
While I was in there talking with Cologne, she asked me to work there."
"So?" Mike said. "So you two both get what you want."
"It's not that," I said. "The thing I want to tell you is that I
won't be training here anymore. Cologne said that I have to train with
her from now on."
"What can that wrinkled old ghoul teach you?" Hanny said.
"Be more polite when referring to your elders," I said. "Trust
me, Hanny. I think she is very wise and can teach me and you two a lot.
Now, she didn't say that you two had to stop, just me, but I did ask her
to train you three a little bit also. She said the three of us could make a
great team."
"So, when are you going to break the news to Tendo-san?"
Mike asked.
"She told me that tomorrow would be my last day training
here," I replied. "I hope he doesn't start crying again." We heard a
splash of water from somewhere outside.
"Why'd you have to do that, you uncute tomboy?!" I heard
the voice of Ranco. "Now I have to go and take a bath!" We heard
footsteps and the door opened up.
"Oops, sorry," Ranco immediately closed the door. Hanny did
not look too happy.
"Don't they knock before entering a bathroom around here,"
Hanny said. "How rude." He got up, dried himself off, wrapped a towel
around himself and walked outside with his gi and bandages in his
hands.
"Well, we might as well get out also," I got out. "My nanny
will be here soon." We dried ourselves and wrapped a towel around
ourselves. We picked up our gi's with our bandages in our hands and
walked outside.
We went immediately to the changing room. Hanny was
already in there, fully dressed and putting some bandages on himself.
Mike and I got dressed and bandaged ourselves up also. We didn't have
too many injuries among the three of us so we didn't use too many
bandages. We walked outside to see Ranco going towards the
bathroom.
"Hey, Ranco!" I said. "Why are your clothes all wet?"
"Uh, that macho chick, Akane threw some water on me," she
said. "I'm going into the bathroom to change."
"What did you do that get her mad at you?" Hanny asked.
"I don't know," she replied. "She's just a violent maniac."
"Well, if you keep talking to her like that, of course she'll get
mad at you," I said. "You should go apologize."
"If I do, she'll just hit me over the head with a mallet and call
me `baka,'" she said and went into the bathroom. I shrugged.
"Some people are just stubborn." I said and we walked outside
to wait for my nanny. Tendo-san and Akane joined us to say farewell to
us.
"We will be back around four again tomorrow, Tendo-san,"
Hanny said. "Where was Mr. Saotome and Ranma today?"
"Ranma was here but he, uh, left for a little while during your
practice," Akane said. "I think Mr. Saotome is coming home right
now." We saw a man wearing a white gi and head covered with a white
bandanna and wearing glasses.
"Hello!" he said. "I'm home, Tendo."
"Glad you're back, Saotome," Tendo-san greeted him.
"I saw you three earlier today, right?" he turned to us and
asked.
"I don't remember seeing you today," Mike said. "The only
person I remember seeing that lives here was Mr. Panda at Dr. Tofu's
place. I find it rather strange that he works there." I saw a drop of sweat
fall off of Mr. Saotome's forehead.
"Uh, I saw you boys walk out of Dr. Tofu's office," he said. "I
was returning something of his." I started getting suspicious of him.
Maybe he also had some sort of curse.
"Oh, then we must have walked past you," I said. "Well, Mike
here will be working there from now on, so he'll be seeing Mr. Panda a
lot." My nanny drove up to pick us up.
"That's our ride, got to go," Hanny said. "See you tomorrow,
Tendo-san." We got up and went to the car.
"See you tomorrow!" Akane said. We got in and she started
driving off.
"So did you three find jobs?" she asked us. "Where's
Shammy?"
"Yes, we did," Mike said. "I'll be working in Dr. Tofu's clinic.
Hanny is going to help Ukyou in her restaurant and Jack is going to
work in Nekohanten with Shampoo. That's where Shammy is."
"Don't be mean," I said. "Let's talk about Ukyou, Mike."
"No, that's OK," he said, looked away and blushed.
			******
Ranma walked out of the bathroom in boy form. He was lucky
that he saw those three in the bathtub or he might have changed right in
front of them.
"Ranma!" Genma called out. "I want to talk to you." Ranma
came over to him. Soun and Genma were talking.
"What do you need, pop?" Ranma said and sat down.
"It's not what I need, but what Tendo needs," he said. "Tell
him, Tendo."
"I want you to spar with Jack tomorrow," he said.
"Why don't you just let that uncute Akane spar with him
again?" he said just as Akane walked up behind him. She grabbed a
mallet out of nowhere and smashed him over the head with it.
"Ranma no baka!" she said and walked away.
"No, I want you to... defeat him so badly that he won't be
training here anymore," Soun said. "He made three holes in the dojo!
Do you know how much it's going to cost to fix those?" He started
weeping again.
"Don't worry, Daddy," Nabiki came from downstairs. "I'll
take care of the funds.
"I can't do that," Ranma said. "He hasn't done anything to
me."
"I order you to do it, Ranma," Genma said. "Besides, the less
one of them is around, the less chance they will find out about our
curses." Ranma thought about that. He had a point.
"Alright, I'll do it but not for you, pop," Ranma said. "How
much do you want me to `defeat' him?"
"Just enough so that he won't be bothering us for a little
while," Soun said. "You make me proud, Ranma." He continued to cry.
			End Part IV
			Finished 4/28

Author's Notes: This is longer than my other parts. If I keep this up, I'll
have a 200k text file by the time I finish the last part. I hope I don't have
as many typing errors as I did before. If you forgot, this is suppose to
be a Ranma/OMG crossover but I'm just slowly getting to the crossing
part.
As you can tell, I'm starting to get into the fiction part of my
fan ficiton. Thanks to anyone that's given me any criticism on my
writing. Also to anyone who reads this and think that you shouldn't put
yourself into fan fictions, why not? It's just like making a fictionous
character. Then again, it actually is a fictionous character because you
can't put EVERY single little detail about yourself in it.

Next part: Job training and maybe the first Ranma vs. Jack fight...
