I have to say that was the most interestingly bizarre magical death I've 
ever seen (Although the deadly money from Cast a Deadly Spell comes close)

I'm not so sure Gos would want to continue his plan if Ranma has been 
eliminated...for that matter, why not simply poison the rival suitors?
