Same here!  This doesn't really sound like Shampoo, more
like Ukyou.  Shampoo (IMHO) would be first one to recover
from Ranma and Akane's marriage.  She loves Ranma, but
compared to Ukyou, she wasn't obsessed with him for the
past ten years.  Also Shampoo has never really kept things
to herself, she' s very expressive and open.  I doubt she
could commit suicide without anyone notice how depress
she was.
About the trend of dead/depress fiancees, waah!  Please
no more!  I can't take it!   Doesn't anyone 
believe in happy endings anymore?

BTW, is it just me, or are we starting to see a trend of 
jilted-fiancee-commits-suicide fics here now that Ranma's come to an end and 
the expected decision in it?  ^^;
