Operation: Reality Check
Episode 1: Danger!

What's happened so far on O:RC...
Queen Beryl has scattered the Sailor Scouts in different realities.
Serena was first to be found. Jake Tyler has fallen for her and Serena has
fallen for him. They just won't tell each other. Mina was the next one to
be found. Mike Conner seems to be very fond of her. Then Ami was found in
the Negaverse. She and Chris Davis would make a cute couple. Then Lita was
found. She and Jackie Forez has become best buddies. Raye was last to be
found. She and Kim Swann are charging up a storm with the FRC credit card at
the mall. The only person left is Darien. President Rollins, Director
Redford, and Senator Dreyfus are threatening to quit the operation if the
expenses don't decrease. Jake just ignores them and continues on his mission
as he pleases.
Jake was captured by Queen Beryl. She was going to use his energy to
sustain the Negaverse. When the Sailor Scouts found him he was hurt pretty
badly. The Sailor Scouts told Sailor Moon to take Jake back to HQ, tend to
his wounds, and come back when she was finished. Sailor Moon nodded and
grabbed Jake's hand pulling him into the portal.
The Sailor Scouts (minus Sailor Moon) and the Reality Jumpers (minus
Jake) are in the Negaverse. It is believed that Darien is in there under
Queen Beryl's spell again.
Serena and Jake are in the DIMENSION TRAVEL 8 room, where the portal is.
Serena is tending to his wounds.

At HQ...
Courage Jake, courage, Jake thought to himself. Tell her now, before
it's too late. Jake gazed down at Serena, who was being ever so gentle as
she tended his wounds. He longingly watched Serena, wanting so much to say
those three words to her. He then thought of Lisa. He thought of the
heartbreak she caused him. The day he found the courage to tell Lisa those
three words she moved to the space colonies. Jake never, in the entire world
felt so lonely.
Is Lisa the reason I don't want to tell her? Jake thought. Am I afraid
that when I tell her, Serena will say 'I already have the love of my life.'?
"All set," Serena said cheerfully, carefully securing the bandage around
Jake's leg.
"Thanks Serena."
"No problem. I got a C+ in first aid ya know."
Jake gazed into Serena's deep blue eyes and felt his heart skip a beat.
What was it that he saw in those eyes, those gorgeous sparkling blue eyes?
Was it sorrow, anticipation, anxiety, admiration, maybe love? "You know,
we're close to finding Darien."
"Yeah, I know," Serena sighed.
Was that a sigh of happiness, or was that a sigh of sorrow? Jake
wondered.
Serena looked at Jake. Ever since she first saw Jake, she couldn't help
but like him, and not just as a friend either. Now they were close to
finding Darien. Serena knew she should be happy, but she couldn't help
wishing that they didn't find Darien, at least, not yet. Not until she was
sure about Jake.
Serena thought Jake liked her, but maybe she was wrong. Maybe those
secret looks of her he takes when he thinks no one else is looking was just
all in her imagination. Serena looked up at Jake. She took in his silky
black hair and warm blue eyes. She felt her heartbeat quicken. She quickly
looked away.
Think of Darien, Serena scolded herself. You two were meant to be long
before you were even born. That annoying tiny little voice in her head,
known as doubt, spoke up, "must your future be what happened in the past?"
"Um...Serena." Jake stuttered.
"Yes, Jake?" Serena looked at Jake with anticipation. Was this the
moment she'd been waiting for?
"Um...well...you see..." his voice trailed off.
"Yes." Serena prompted him.
"Serena...ah...youneedadrink." he finally blurted out.
"Oh..." Serena couldn't help but feel disappointed.
"Here let me get you one."
"No, that's ok." said Serena, trying to hide the disappointment in her
voice.
"No, I insist."
"Well, if you insist..."
"Yes, I do." Jake got up and walked down the hall to the hot cocoa and
coffee machine. Serena watched and felt tears well up in her eyes.
Jake could have kicked himself.
"Why didn't you tell her?" he muttered to himself and started pouring
some hot cocoa. "You had a chance and you blew it!" He looked out the
window, and saw two doves cuddled up. "You have no one to blame if she ends
up with Darien but yourself."
"Jake?" asked a sweet voice.
"Yes?" Jake mumbled not looking up.
"You're spilling hot cocoa all over the place."
Jake looked down and saw that hot cocoa was running over the cup, down
the counter, to the floor. Hot cocoa was also all over his hands and down
the front of his shirt. Jake blushed and
said, "Oops!"

Exact same time, different dimension...
The Sailor Scouts and the Reality Jumpers were battling youmas left and
right, if you could call even it a battle. The Scouts and the Jumpers are
getting their butts kicked while Queen Beryl is cackling in the background
and saying, "You may have beat me before, but I'm BACK and I will defeat you!
The universe is no longer! Hahahaa!"
Sailor Mars was getting thrown around like a rag doll. The youma
cackled in her face and said, "You're not as tough and strong without your
Tuxedo Mask are you?"
Sailor Mars jumped up and yelled, "No one insults me and gets away with
it!" She put her hands together like a toy gun and yelled,
"MMMMMMAAARRRRRRSSSSSSSSSS
FFFFFFFFFFFIIIIIRRRRREE...IGNITE!" A fireball erupted from her fingertips
and flew towards
the youma. The fireball hit the youma directly in the chest. There was a
bright flash of light, and all that was left of the youma was a standing
burnt carcass. Sailor Mars went up to it and gave it a good hard kick. The
carcass fell apart and all that was left was a pile of ash. A slight breeze
came by and swirled the ashes around, mixing it with the dirt ground.
"Ha, teach him to mess with fire!" Mars sneered as she ran off to help
Kim, who was trying to cremate her own youma.
Jupiter took a more hands on approach. She punched and kicked wildly,
only to have about one-third of the attacks actually hit the target.
"Ha Ha," yelled the youma. "You will never beat the mighty power of the
Negaforce!"
"You wanna bet?!" Jupiter yelled as she attacked the youma once more.
The youma dodged to the left and then socked Jupiter right in the stomach.
Jupiter doubled over and collapsed onto her knees breathing heavily.
"Just give up now," the youma said walking towards Jupiter. "I'm sure
Queen Beryl will spare you if you give up now."
"Never!" Jupiter yelled still on her knees watching the youma come
closer.
"Fine, have it your way," the youma sneered now standing over the
crouched Jupiter. "But don't say I didn't give you a choice." Jupiter
watched as the youma raised his club like hand ready to smash her into a
pulp. Jupiter stared up to the youma, straight in the eye.
"Say your prayers Nega-trash!" Jupiter gave the youma a Mortal Kombat
style upper cut. The impact of her fist caused the youma's head to fly
backwards, and its spinal cord snapped in two. The head of the youma flew
off and blood splattered everything within a ninety feet radius (which was
the whole
room).
"Hey Jupiter," Mars, who was cover in blood yelled. "Next time could
you keep blood spray with in a two foot radius!"
Jupiter ignored her and watched as the body fell over and a pool of
blood formed. Jupiter walked towards the decapitated body. She stood next
to it as blood stained her brand new ankle boots.
"D*mn it," Jupiter cussed. "I wanted to electrocute him!"
Sailor Venus was being chased by a youma. Her skirt was tattered and
her ribbon had fallen out of her blond hair. The youma was blasting her left
and right. One of the blasts hit Venus on the back of her leg and she fell
to the ground. She tried to break the fall with her hands, but she fell with
such a force she
fractured her left wrist, and a couple of ribs on her left side. Venus tried
to get up but the pain was too great.
"Ha ha," cackled the youma, who slowly walked towards Venus. "You are
mine! You thought you could defeat me! No one can defeat me!"
"You'll never get away with this!" Venus yelled to the youma, who was
now hovering over her.
"I already have!" The youma opened it's mouth and showed two rows of
sharp pointy teeth. Venus realized the youma meant to eat her and her eyes
opened wide with a fear she never felt
before. Never in her entire life had she felt so helpless.

Episode 2: Oops!

Back at HQ...
"Here let me help." Serena grabbed some paper towels and quickly mopped
up some of hot cocoa on the floor. She smiled to herself. Was it her
imagination or was Jake staring at her clean up. Not just any stare, but a
stare that she's seen on his face many times before. Serena took some paper
towel and started
cleaning off Jake.
Jake blushed and said, "I should be helping you clean up and here I am
just watching when it was my mess and...." He stopped himself and realized
he was just babbling. Together they cleaned up the mess and then walked back
to the room.
"Sorry about that, Serena," Jake apologized.
"That's ok, Jake," Serena smiled at Jake, and he smiled back. Serena
felt her heartbeat quicken again.
They walked through the door of the room and Serena sat down in the
chair. Jake walked towards the other side of the room with his back towards
her.
Maybe I should make the first move, thought Serena. He obviously
doesn't plan on it any time soon and I have to know the truth. The others
could be back any minute with Darien. Serena stood up and walked over to
Jake.
"Jake?" Serena asked tentatively.
"Yeah?" Jake smiled and looked down into Serena's eyes. Serena could
feel her heart melt as she gazed back into Jake's eyes.
"Gee...uh...well...you see...it's like this..." Her voice trailed off.
She put her hand behind her head and could feel a big sweat drop form on her
head.
"What is it? Are you hurt?"
"Um..." Serena smiled at Jake and said, "When do you think the others
will get back? Do you think they're ok?"
"I don't know." Jake said as he turned his back on her.
What is that emotion in his voice, Serena wondered. I've heard it so
many times before but I just can't put my finger on it. I know, it's
probably impatience. I have been a pest lately. Serena walked back to the
chair and sat down, quickly wiping away the tears that welled up in her eyes.
Jake just stared at the wall. He knew it was rude to have turned his
back on Serena, but he couldn't help it. Seeing her, hearing her, talking to
her, not knowing what she was feeling was pure torture. Just being in the
same room as her, each time he looked at her he had the impulse to take her
in his arms and give her a long passionate kiss.
Jake turned around to apologize and saw Serena quietly weeping into her
hands. Her shoulders racking with each sob. He quickly ran to her and put
his arms around her. Serena tried to
shake him off but eventually gave up and sobbed into his shoulder.

Back to the Negaverse...
Sailor Venus watched in horror as the youma licked it's chops and
snapped its teeth together. Venus screamed as though her life depended on
it, which it did. Then she remembered something.
"Venus Crescent Beam..." Venus yelled and put her finger on the youma's
forehead. "SMASH!"
Sailor Venus was still quite weak from the fight, so the beam wasn't as
powerful as it usually was. It was enough to shock the youma though. Venus
painfully crawled out of the youma's reach before it could get it's wits back
together.
"I call upon the great forces of Jupiter. Bring storm clouds and bolts
of lightning. JUPITER THUNDER...CRASH!"
Powerful bolts of electricity raced towards the youma. The bolts tore
the youma's arm off on impact as the youma screeched in agony. The arm
surrounded with electricity flew through the air hitting another youma. Soon
there were shards of bone flying all over.
"D*mn it! I missed!" Jupiter shouted. "I'll try again. JUPITER
THUNDER...DRAGON!"
The electricity raced towards the youma again. This time on the way it
transformed into a mighty dragon. The electric dragon towered over the youma
and licked its chops before devouring the
youma whole.
The youma's head swelled and then exploded, a fine mist of blood
sprinkling the ground. The body, still surrounded in electricity, wandered
blindly across the room and tripped. A great explosion occurred taking out
five more youma.
"Thanks, Jupiter," Venus said gratefully.
"No problem, I'm just happy I got to electrocute something!" said
Jupiter as she ran off to help Jackie and Mike leaving Venus behind.
Chris and Sailor Mercury are back to back surrounded by four or five
youma. Chris looked surprisingly calm and so does Mercury, but what do you
expect from the two brains of the two groups. Mercury though is starting to
get a panicked look on her face.
"Chris," Mercury asked slight panic in her voice. "What are we going to
do?"
"I don't know," Chris said in an amazingly calm voice as he zapped at
another youma with his water cannon. "My water cannon is running low. Do
you think you could reenergize it?"
"I'm not sure," Mercury said. "But I'll give it a try." Mercury put her
finger to her forehead and chanted, "I call upon the power and wisdom of
Mercury. Bring me rain, bubbles, and crashing waves." A sudden breeze
picked up whipping Mercury's short hair across her face, and a fine mist of
rain dampened her face. Mercury put her finger to the water cannon and
whispered, "Mercury Water...Regenerate."
"Wow, it worked!" Chris shouted as he fired his cannon, decapiting four
youma in one blast. A fine spray of blood covered the floor. On the floor
the four heads rolled before they exploded, brains and shards of bone flying
all around. Chris kept firing as more youma came. Soon there were too many
for Chris to take on.
"Quick, do something to distract them."
"MERCURY BUBBLES...BLAST!" Mercury shouted. Just after she created them
she realized she miscalculated the fogginess of thebubbles. The entire room
was foggy and cloudy. No one could see
more than two inches from their nose.
"Way to go Mercury!" Mars shouted from somewhere. "Now we can't see our
enemies! For all we know they could be surrounding us!"
"Sorry guys," Mercury said tearfully. She started to back up and
tripped over something laying on the ground.
"Watch it!" shouted Venus. "Mars, create some heat to evaporate the
fog."
"Good idea Venus," Mars said. "Why didn't I think of it before."
"Because you were yelling at Mercury." Venus muttered.
"What?"
"Nothing. Just create some heat."
"MARS HEAT...STRIKE!" There was a flash of light and soon everyone
could see again, see that they were all huddled together in the center of the
room surrounded by youma!

Episode 3: Uh Oh!

Back at HQ...
Serena was in her glory there in Jake's arms. Serena reluctantly drew
away and wiped the tears from her eyes. "Thanks Jake."
"Thanks for what?" Jake asked, a puzzled look in his eyes.
"For just being you."
"Well then, you're welcome."
Serena then hugged Jake. Jake stood there stunned for a moment, then he
wrapped his arms around her. This is the life, Serena thought. Here in
Jake's arms, I could stay here forever.
She sneaked a look up into Jake's face. She could tell he was in heaven
too. Serena smiled to herself and snuggled deeper into Jake's arms.
Something suddenly flashed through Serena's head. It seemed like yells
for help. Serena
thought about what it could be. She drew away from Jake.
"Serena, what's wrong?" Jake asked concern in his voice. "You look
pale."
Serena shook her head. Something was wrong, she could feel it.
Unfortunately, she
couldn't put her finger on it.
"Serena? Serena? Serena?!" Jake snapped his fingers in front of her
eyes.
Serena stared blankly at Jake. "Something's wrong. Someone's in
danger." She clutched Jake's sleeve. "I don't know who though. Am I
forgetting something?"
"Do you mean the Sailor Scouts?" Jake asked with a frown. "You weren't
supposed to
meet back with them after you made sure I was all right were you?"
"Oh no!" Serena wailed. "I totally forgot! Raye is going to kill me!"

Back to the huddled mass in the middle of lots of youma...
"Where's Sailor Moon?" Mars shouted hysterically. "Shouldn't she have
been back by
now."
"Mars," Jupiter snapped back. "I would like to be able to hear for the
rest of my life. Even if it happens to be two minutes!"
"My wrist hurts," moaned Venus.
The youma loomed in closer, slowly, drawing out the fear in the Sailor
Scouts and the Reality Jumpers. Then a dark portal opened revealing Queen
Beryl.
"So Sailor Scouts," she cackled. "You thought you could beat me.
Obviously I am too powerful for you." She walked into the center of the
circle of youma.
"Youma's halt." she commanded. "I would like a word with these young
ones before I kill them."
"You'll never get away with this!" Jupiter yelled charging at Queen
Beryl. Beryl raised her arm in a leisurely manner and blasted Jupiter to the
ground.
"Now, now." Beryl said with mock hurt. "Was that really necessary? I
only want to have
a friendly chat with the young 'uns who tried stop me from doing what was
meant to be."
Beryl went over to Mike and put her finger under his chin. "My, my."
she said. "Aren't
we a handsome one. I think I'll spare you. You show great promise in
becoming a most powerful
general."
"Why would I want to join you? I'd rather die than join forces with
you! You're so ugly
and full of bitterness!"
"How dare you!" Queen Beryl screeched. "You little brat! No one speaks
to me like that!" She motioned to the youmas. The youmas grinned as they
closed in on the Sailor Scouts
and the Reality Jumpers.
"Way to go, Mike!" shouted Jackie, before the youmas went for the kill.
