Ever hear of the theory of parallel evolution?

I thought this was a very good story, utilizing the end
of Volume 38 to a completely different twist than other 
fanfics we could mention.  

All seem to be in character, especially Akane, and Ukyou,
who is still depressed (a fiction trait).  

Ukyou needs to be spellchecked.
Name those kids.  #1 lacks a certain verve.

I really enjoyed the ideas of strength used here - something
I tried to develop in Sour Times.  This was very good - 
keep 'em coming!

Wow - two fanfics with a similar structure, taken to 
completely different ends, within a few days of each other.  
I never cease to be amazed at the weirdness of the universe.
