I just double checked the Lurker's guide, and that was apparently the name
given to the pilot movie, which is probably why you didn't hear of it.  I 
guess they used it for the same reason you did. :)

recognize. The only reason I know of it is that my SF club showed the first
few episodes at a movie night last semester. You do seem to have this 
thing about using other people's openers though...
