	I think Akane's hair is dark-blue and Shampoo is a cross between purple 
and blue.  I think Akane's hair is "supposed" to be black, but I'm not sure on 
this.  This is because most pictures of Akane I have shows her with either 
dark-blue or black hair.

I agree with this, as far as the anime goes, however, in the manga, Akane's hair
is a few shades lighter than either Ranma's or Ryouga's, whose hair colors are
black. In the manga Akane actually seems to have medium-brown hair. This is 
based on water-colors I have seen :).
