I totally agree. Shampoo is not quite as stupid and cold hearted as many
people think. I refuse to believe that she doens't care about Ranma and
that she's just doing all this for spite. There is an episode where her
sisters LinLin and RanRan come to Japan to find out what's been happening
with their sister. When they find out that Shampoo hasn't killed
Ranma-chan yet, they decide to do it for her. Shampoo does all she can to
stop that from happening and even places the Kiss of Death on her own
sisters. I think there is depth to Shampoo that not many people realize

RinRin and RanRan aren't in the manga... but, anyway. RinRin and RanRan
aren't actually Shampoo's sisters. They are tribes women from her village
who call her 'sister/female boss' (-anego) ... And Shampoo only tries to
stop them from killing Ranma because she is infatuated with Ranma. Even
infatuation doesn't mean you want the person dead... it means you want them
alive so you can hopefully jump into bed with them.

or wish to explore. What's wrong with being affectionate and bouncy?
Surely it's better than being dour all the time like Akane. If you think
Shampoo is too violent, than I suggest you take another look at Akane.
Why is her violence toward Ranma always condoned? From Shampoo's point of
view, she is as legally bound to Ranma as Akane is and so she's basically
taking care of what's hers.

The problem is that Ranma deserves what Akane gives him. And from everyone
else's point, Shampoo has no claim whatsoever on Ranma. So... lets see...
Shampoo and Cologne vs the rest of the Ranma 1/2 cast... hmmm...

Kun-chan...
