Okay, I may not be a great historian, or even accurate, but...

The original, ie. the real, Good Times virus was something they called the
concept virus.  *chuckles* like what they call the macro virus... funny...
some programs still call it the concept virus even though it has evolved
beyond the point of being a mere concept.

Well, the original concept was that the virus can and would spread through
email.  And upon loading and opening, it would run a program to infect the
system and spread by email others.  In the past, one such virus existed.
It was a christmas card greeting that spread through email.  Sorry, memory
too jumble, but it spread through email... more so because of the nature
of the email system for that particular computer (mac) than because text
could infect. ;)

Today... with M$ and others building email programs with nice little
complex macro'ing capabilities, the Good Times virus and it's like has
gained a definite jump in existential possiblities. *sigh* And more weird
warning emails would be spread.

The current Good Times virus is actually a forged document spread
originally by someone, unknown, which spreads through the paranoia it
creates in the unknowing reader.

Oh well, that's it... my memory's shot... need sleep... hate this fever...
