Yes, but Ryan expressed disgust for anyone who tries to give 
characterization to the cast of Ranma 1/2...which was Nightelf's original 
point......

I guess you could say I feel disgust (although that might be a little
strong) for a writer who *doesn't* at least try to advance the characters.
Which is something Ryan has done quite well in his stories.  I must have
missed something -- although I personally don't care all that much for most
Ranma stories, what's wrong with giving the Ranma characters character?
