It happened in Ranma Movie 2 (the dub at least.)
	When the girls started disappearing, Genma (of course) told 
Ryouga: "Didn't you know that these seas are filled with evil, man-eating 
octopi?" (or words to that effect.)  Ryouga predicatably panics over a 
similar fate happening to Akane, and when the next girl disappears, Genma 
stoically pronounces "Curse those evil octopi."

In the sub, don't they say something like 'The kidnapper is a GHOST!!!'?

That hardly narrows it down, Kun-chan. There are heaps of different subs 
around.

And there's only one sub of the second Ranma Movie in Melbourne that I
know about! That one where the sound is stuffed right at the end, and
where they call Happousai 'Happozai' and where they translate 'Muko-dono'
as 'Wake up'!

Do they? Anyway. My point was that not everyone will have seen that 
particular fansub, okay?! Geez! Picky!

But it means generally the same thing in Japanese, so all the subs will
have the same meaning, unless it's totally wrong, ne?
