         ***Future's Past***

     Introduction:
          First, let me say that I'm no writer. I wrote for a fantasy RPG
game, and I was told I am very good, but in my opinion, I am no writer.
I'm not going to pretend this is something it isn't, it's just a writing
of a young man who wishes to add a l ittle fanfic to one of his favorite
things, namely, Bubblegum Crisis. 

     About Bubblegum Crush:
          Bubblegum Crush is my set of writings that happened after
Bubblegum Crisis and Crash. Keeping with the BGC, BGC!...Line, Bubblegum
Crush seemed like the only reasonable name. Just as the BGC and BGC!
series have their own names for each of their OVAs, the name for this
(Would be...) title in the series is "Future's Past." 
          I'd like to point out that that while I accept Grand Mal as
BGC, I don't accept the part in Grand Mal where it says Sylia's brain has
been enhanced, I simply accept the majority of events that happened in
that book did actually take place. (So I kind of consider it half-cannon)

     About Future's Past:
          I first got the idea for this story when reading the "Is Sylia
a Boomer?" debate. Someone there got off the subject and asked what would
happen if Priss had died in BGC6. 
          I know Priss WAS almost killed off in the end of "Red Eyes,"
but I hadn't given it much thought until that someone posed the question. 
          In response, I wrote this fanfic... 
          Future's Past was done to give my opinion on what would have
happened had the producers of BGC actually decided to do away with Priss.
This "alternate reality" is what would have happened, in my opinion, to
the world once Priss was gone. 
          Please excuse the people I left out, mainly one of our AD
Police friends (What was that girl's name anyway?), along with Lisa,
Fargo, and Gibison. I can't squeeze every single BGC character into this
new world. 
          Also, please excuse my lack of Linna character development, but
I really can't get into Linna's character very well, so she's pretty much
a smaller character here. (Frankly, I just hate Linna...)

     New Characters:
          Ahhhhhh. The point of Future's Past. There are no new main
characters. Every main character here comes from Bubblegum Crisis, Crash,
or Grand Mal. They're the same old characters with new ideas added in.

That is, of course, if you actually take the time to read all 17
chapters. 
          I suppose I should say that most every character in this story
belongs to Artmic and Youmex. They own the copyrights for the characters,
the hardsuits, the world, etc. You all know where I'm coming from... 

     And, of course, some thanks:
          Thanks to whoever asked that question, because without it, I
could have never written this thing. Thanks to the people at the Final
Fantasy RPG newsgroup, who loved my work even though I hated it. Finally,
thanks to my very old and very slow computer, because if it had never
screwed up on the spelling of a search phrase, I would never have found
BGC, or anime at all... 

                     And the rest, as they say...
                          is history....
