Mr. Mathews mentioned that new writers are sometimes ignored on this list.
A couple of suggestions to get noticed;
1. Wait to post on a slow day. (HA! That's a joke!)
2. Write a short sampler, that can be read in five minutes.
Use that five minutes to pull the reader in, and make them
beg for more.
3. Whine.
(The last method is the easiest to use, and it *does* work.)
Mr. Mathews also mentioned making this an alt newsgroup. I will not argue
for or against this at this time, but I will point out that two members of
this list are no longer members, after they were forcefully removed.
Well, one of them is no longer a member. The other has since returned,
but has been a good little spammer ever since.
I also have a question for some of the oldtimers out there. Back in the
fall of '91, I read a couple interesting fanfics. One of the two was a silly
little piece that had to do with bringing the Dirty Pa-that is, the Lovely
Angels to life. I have since rediscovered that little gem, and its
numerous offshoots.
The second one has so far eluded me. I remember very little about it, but
it had to do with an Evil Mastermind trying to take over our boring,
mundane world. He used magic, and one of the few things that I can
remember is that he created 'golems' that were based on the terminators.
Does this sound familar to anyone else out there, or should I start taking
my Lithium again?
