 Hmmmm..... I like both as long as they are well written....I guess I 
prefer something that takes up as much (or as little) space to tell the

right...there I times when I read something large and think.."ya...but 
this could have been done in two pages....or ya...but I want MORE!" it's 
your story...if you want to leave bits of it unanswered and unfinished  
then  you had better have some other thing which will satisfy the 
reader...or plans for a sequal.

tips on lengthening 'fics?  I'm having an extremely hard time writing my 
one 'long' 'fic... not to mention I've got quite a few more on the back 
burner. 

 Well, if some of them are related...i'dd say relate them...there's 
always subplot.
  Oh, and another question regarding Mr. Biles' 
'technobabble' 

comments: How do you make that stuff sound convincing? Is it real tech 
that someone who isn't avidly into military/combat type stuff wouldn't 
know about?   

 Well ther's always the random gadget chart in Mekton Zeta (grin) or 
simply look through a couple of referencial sources....Jane's arms or 
something like that....buy a gun magazine...."uh ya...it's for 
research...no honest"
