considerably _smarter_ than Hibiki.

Ryouga is NOT like that. He's sweet, kind and caring. He actually cares
how Akane feels. He may bakusaitenketsu his way through walls, but that's
because he's lost, not because he doesn't know how to use a door knob.
He's actually got honour and won't stoop to dirty tricks to try to kill
Ranma. And he doesn't hop into bed with Akane in the way Shampoo wants to
hop into bed with Ranma!

   One of the running jokes throughout the series is the fact that Ryoga
DOES "hop into bed" with Akane - as P-Chan. Repeatedly. And while he may
indeed be "sweet, kind, and caring", he hasn't really shown it much in the
Anime. Let's review some of my favorite Ryoga quotes:
   "Ranma Saotome, tonight you roast in hell!"
   "I shall see you suffer before I kill you!"
   "You should not have made me angry!"
   
   The man is a basket case. A kinda lovable one, though.
   And admittedly better than Shampoo. Course, I prefer even Kodachi to
Shampoo, and Kodachi is on my list of top-ten-people-to-stay-well-away
-from. Amazing how many people feel that way, really...

Seamus: Ya know, there are a lotta Shampoo fans listnin' ta this.

Mike: So?

Seamus: If they're havin' the mentality 'o their idol, ya might not live
out the week.

Mike: *gulp*
