But my main reply is moving the list to Usenet. Keep in mind that 
some of us are on college or university computers, that may not have 
access to a news server. I can only speak for myself, but my school 
has no news server. I would suggest that we find out who has news 
servers first, before any move is considered.

     I have access to a news server (well, about 4 news servers, all for
free! :)  (Sorry, had to brag there). But, I do NOT support the move to a
newsgroup. The main reason is that if it moves to a newsgroup, there is an
immediate increase in the potential for seriously off-topic spam, etc. (I
remember a significantly large number of sex adds coming on a.f.bgcrisis for
a while there.) Also, I agree that there are many people who do not have
access to newsgroups, and it could be detrimental to remove them from the
list because we want to move to a newsgroup (Erin being one such person).
Lastly, before any move to a newsgroup would be made, I think it would be
essential to have some *VERY* good reasons to do so. Traffic isn't one,
since the list seems to be functioning fine as is (though SPAM content could
be dropped somewhat...).
