I think there's a program on the server that automatically attaches [Fanfic] 
to any post that isn't a reply post, even if the sender types "Re:" in the 
subject.  That's how we get subject lines like "[FanFic] Re: [FanFic] Re: 
[FanFic] Off-Topic - Whatever happened to...".

only a real fanfic, finished or not, was supposed to have this tag.  I'm 
seeing a lot of stuff that is labelled [Fanfic] but only contains 2-3 
sentences... usually personal conversation.
