getting requests to explain what happened in the Final Ranma Manga so that
my story made sense. I will put out the entire deal in 4 parts.

Shounen Sunday #44, 1995 (Volume 37, part 1): Title: "The Messenger from
Jusenkyou"
Jusenkyou, the land of cursed springs... It's night and it's very
windy. The
well-known guide is eating in his house when someone knocks on the door.
The guide opens and two ominous figures with large wings appear. They
force their way in, and from outside we can hear a loud "AIYA~". The worst
crisis in the history of Jusenkyou is about to happen...
A few days later, Japan. The three parents (Nodoka, Souun, Genma), call
for Akane, and seemingly seize her. Then Kasumi tells Ranma that Souun
wants to show him something... It's Akane, dressed up in a wedding costume
(Japanese style). She looks very cute, and Ranma flushes at the view.
The fathers tell him that now that he has meet his mother again, he only has
to wed to be happy. Of course, he tries to protest, but she chooses this
moment to wake up and to show her displeasure about her disguise, much to the
fathers' dismay, who thought they had her under control. Ranma interrupts
and tells the costume suits her, only to add that's it's because Japanese
style clothes are best for unshapely people, but he seems himself only half-
convinced by what he says. He gets his reward, and a little flight through
atmosphere, and lands on a roof where he can think back of Akane's cuteness.
But an ominous raven flight shows up, attacking a young and seemingly Chinese
girl. Ranma saves her, but one of the figures we saw in Jusenkyou, a flying
man, with large wings in the back and threatening bird foot instead of hands
and feet, appears, laughing madly. He proceeds by attacking, and a second one
attacks Ranma, from behind. Ranma runs away and manages to pass the young
girl to Ryouga who was conveniently walking by, worrying about the upcoming
shower, just before he gets lift into the air by one of the birdmen. There,
Ranma can't fight and is in difficulty when the rain starts pouring, and
all fall to the ground: the two birdmen have changed into two young boys,
and regrets it because they are now less powerful. Nevertheless, they
resume the fight, only to get easily pounded by Ranma (now female), and also
by the little girl (with Ryouga's umbrella), who's carrying a now very piggish
Ryouga. Then she thanks Ranma in a mildly correct Japanese calling him "Dear
visitor" (Okyakusan).
Later, everybody is at the Nekohanten and our heroes (Shampoo, Mousse,
Ranma, Ryouga) are all very surprised to learn that the little girl is...
the Jusenkyou guide's daughter. Her name's is Plum and she has some
important information to share. But all are still in their amazement towards
her, and then Cologne tells that the bird-like people who change into human
when hit by water should be of the legendary people who lives in Mount Phoenix.
At this time, on the top of a very high chimney, the two guys, who
seem much younger now, in human form and fully dressed up, explain to their
leader, a very attractive young lady only with large white wings, their
failure. Her name is Kiima, and we learn that they came to Japan to get
hold of a so-called "Jusenkyou secret", and she is not amused, even if cute
and playful. Meanwhile, the guide's daughter is dispalying the Jusenkyou
secret, wich is a map of the cursed land. She tells that if their enemy
seized it, all the Jusenkyou spring would die (and among them the Nanniichuan
and the Nyanniichuan). Meanwhile, the members of the legendary people of the
Phoenix mount were waiting on the top of their chimney, because they couldn't
get down (don't ask).
Shounen Sunday #45, 1995 (Volume 37, part 2): Title: "Jusenkyou Map
Offensive and Defensive Battle"
At the Nekohanten, Cologne is telling what she knows about the Mount Phoenix
and its people: South to the mountains embracing the Jusenkyou area lies
Mount Phoenix. It is said that there is another cursed spring on top of
this sharp mountain. Being so high up, only flying birds drowned in it. The
people of Mount Phoenix used this water for everyday use, and soon were
being born people with changes in their body: wings and bird legs.
Plum says she doesn't know why they want to let the springs die.
But Ryoga spots something, and wrecks the backdoor... but the enemies
were at the front door. So enters Kiima (the white lady with wings), and
her two young companions, Koruma (dark-skinned, dark hair, carries a sword,
like Kiima) and Masara (reddish (!??) hair, carries a bow). They were guided
here by some owls. Seeing that nobody is willing to give in, they start
fighting, and Ranma, Ryouga and Mousse jump at them, but Kiima does a
special attack with her wings: a flight of slicing _kamaitachi_ (*), that
our heroes escape. Unfortunately, the map Plum was holding is ripped into
shreds, and everybody scrambles to pick up the remains. Kiima prepares
for a new strike but Ranma counter-attacks and nails her to the wall with
(crescent-shaped) pans, confining her wings. She frees herself, and
then flies away with her companions (they have some paper in their hands),
but she wants revenge for Ranma scarring her wings. She keeps the Ranma
team from following them by dumping water on them.
Meanwhile, at Mount Phoenix, in a palace on the side of the mountain
someone is impatiently waiting for his/her hot bath. that soemone makes a
large gap in the bathtub, while a servant, who calls the still unknown
character "Lord Safran", says that Kiima's group should came soon with the
Jusenkyou's mystery, and tries to emulate the steam by striking some chalk
dust off a blackboard brush...
In Japan, Koruma and Masara discovers that the sliced paper they got was
just a sliced menu.
Meanwhile Ranma is packing in order to move into the Nekohanten, much to
Akane's anger and dismay and Shampoo's happiness. Ranma knows that their
enemies are going to come back for the map, and doesn't want the Tendou house
to be involved in this. Shampoo says to Akane this is a Jusenkyou-cursed
people matter, so she has no place in it. Genma tries to waves his son
goodbye, but is forced into coming with them (maybe it wasn't very clever to
try this in panda form). Shampoo leaves ahead of the others in order to
prepare a meal, but is attacked on the way by Koruma, who throws eggs at her.
The eggs break and engulf Shampoo, who is quickly trapped inside a giant egg.
In her newly made nest on the top of the chimney, Kiima tells a bird to go
and tell the people at Mount Phoenix that the map will soon be theirs...
Shounen Sunday #46, 1995 (Volume 37, part 3): Title: "Shamppo's Egg"
Everybody (Cologne, Plum and the Jusenkyou cursed people) is at the
Nekohanten. In order to protect it better, the Jusenkyou map has been
divided and each one receive one part... except Shampoo who is not there!
Meanwhile, at the top of her high chimney, Kiima is cradling a huge egg in a
nest. The eggshell cracks, and Shampoo appears. Kiima takes her head in
her hands, and says "Look at me..."
Ranma, Mousse and Genma are now searching for Shampoo in the streets,
while Ryoga stayed with Cologne for obvious reasons. But Shampoo comes
back (landing on Ryouga's head with her bicycle). Cologne gives Shampoo
her part of the map...
Cut to Mousse searching for Shampoo on his bicycle. She suddenly appears
from nowhere and acts very affectionate with him. He believes he's dreaming,
and asks her to hit him with one of his deadly tools. She complies, knocking
him out. Later, she also tricks Genma with poisoned food.
Back at the Nekohanten, Plum just goes out from the bath and discovers
Cologne bound and Ryouga pig and passed out. Shampoo stole their parts of
the map. Plum (cleverly) concludes that Shampoo is being manipulated and
runs out to let the other ones know.
Kiima is flying through the sky with her underlings (with lights stolen
from shops), who doubt of Shampoo's fidelity, but Kiima is certain of her
trick: like a chick, the first thing (which was Kiima) Shampoo saw when
she cracked out of the egg was recognized as her parent.
Meanwhile, in a park, Shampoo meets Ranma and is very pleased to learn
he was searching for her, and acts as usual around him, while Akane is on
her way home riding through the park. Koruma and Masara doubts of Kiima's
trick when Shampoo tries to kiss Ranma, but Akane shows up, bumping the
two apart. While flying, Shampoo loses the parts of the map she stole, and
Ranma grasps them, and realizes something is wrong. Plum, who was hiding,
explains the matter to him. Shampoo says she was about to forget Kiima's order
and proceeds jumping in the nearby fountain, scaring Ranma with her cat form.
Ranma hits a tree and passes out, she takes the slices of map. She then jumps
into Kiima's arms, who now has the complete map. Cologne, Mousse and Ryouga
show up, and they try to take back the map and Shampoo, but to no avail
since Koruma and Masara transform back (with hot water) into their
flying/combat forms and beat them off, and the three flee away to Mount
Phoenix with the map and Shampoo.
"Aiya-, the end of Jusenkyou!" says Plum.
Shounen Sunday #47, 1995 (Volume 37, part 4): Title: "Ranma goes to China!!"
It's the morning. We see akane in her bed thinking about Ranma's departure
to China. Meanwhile, Ranma is packing up, while we hear a narration (as if
he is talking to himself) telling that Akane can't go with them in this
dangerous trip, but that at least he will take a picture of her instead of a
lucky charm... But it's Nabiki speaking, trying to sell it to Ranma, who
refuses. But Ryouga wants it (he does the giant head thing), and Nabiki
gossips that he placed it in his wallet (?) next to his girlfriend picture,
Ranma objecting that *she* sold it to him.
Cut to the coast, where the crew (Plum, Ryouga, Mousse, Genma and Ranma) is
embarking on Plum's boat. The Tendous and Nodoka, with tears in their eyes,
say their farewell (except Nabiki who wants some soap), but Akane is not there.
She is a little away, and cannot bring herself to go and say goodbye. Ranma
is upset she's not here but tries to hide it, saying that anyway they won't
be away for too long, and they leave. On the boat, Ranma lets his deception
out, and strikes violently the boat... Akane having heard the sounds of the
departure runs for the dock, but the boat is nowhere to be seen. She tells
she was afraid to wave him goodbye, because she had a bad presentiment, and
Nabiki says she's right: the old boat has sunk under Ranma's punch, not ten
meters away from the shore. That's how a trip full of suffering began.
Meanwhile, in China, Mount phoenix... Kiima has just brought in the map of
Jusenkyou which shows the source(s?) of the pools. She wants to go and dry
the pools immediatly, but before going, she and her companions are granted
with a praisy word from Lord Safran, whose figure can barely been made out
on his large throne behind a semi-tranparent curtain. They deeply thanks,
but nothing comes. They look behind the curtain, and only find a human-sized
doll. Where is Lord Safran?
Cut to Ranma and the others, all on a bycicle and in cursed forms, as they
are getting closer to Mount Phoenix. Suddenly they find a hot spring (onsen),
and with utter joy go for it. But Plum (who doesn't need the hot bath) notices
strange things, like a fissure in the ground, a broken panel, etc. A badly
beaten employee tells her it's the "onsen devil (person)". Meanwhile the men
are enjoying their bath, but they quickly notice the knocked out clients
around them. They prepare to "welcome" the coming threat, while an ominous
figure swims toward them under the water...
Meanwhile, Kiima and her companions are searching for Safran...
Shounen Sunday #48, 1995 (Volume 37, part 5): Title: "The Prince of Mount
Phoenix"
Ranma, Ryouga and Mousse are waiting for their opponent, hiding behind a rock
(Genma is looking elsewhere). Suddenly a "blast" makes the rock explode. Ranma
leaps, takes hold of a flying stone, and throws it at the huge figure...
which reveals to be a plastic toy-lobster. Suddenly something charges
at Ranma, who blocks it but is sent crashing against a rock the thing --a
ring, one foot wide, with apparently considerable power-- frees and goes back
to a pole, held by... a brat, richly dressed, with bath toys and little wings.
He promises our heroes death for using the hot source. He attacks them
("zanshu") with his ring (which he calls "_Kinjakan_"), but Ranma lands
with a rock on his head. The kid --the onsen devil--, is captured and left
there tied although he wants to be killed. But just before leaving in a hurry,
Mousse mentions Shampoo and Plum tells they are two days far from Mount
Phoenix. Hearing this, the brat tells them he can bring them there before
night with his magical tool, and our heroes gladly accept (and their attitude
toward the child undergo a great change). A few moments later the kid is
riding is instrument (ring+pole) pulling the bicycle and cart, and soon they
reach Mount Phoenix. In front of the entry of a tunnel leading into the
mountain, they leave the kid, but as soon as they have disappeared in the
tunnel, he uses is pole to make the stairs crumble. Kiima and her minions,
still searching for Safran(-sama), hear the noise and hurry there.
Meanwhile, the kid is ranting about his victory, but Mousse saves the whole
team by hanging a chain on the pole. Ranma pulls on the chain but the kid
can't bear it and fall with them in the gap, while Kiima arrives and grasps
the kid. Upon her order, Koruma and Masara make Ranma and the others fall
in the abyss, with the kid's magical instrument, much to the kid's anger.
They proceed to beat him up for his insolence, until Kiima stops them and tells
he is Safran, ruler of Jusenkyou... Meanwhile, Ryouga is leading the
team *downwards* with his Bakusaitenketsu....
Shounen Sunday #49, 1995 (Volume 37, part 6). Title: "Mount Phoenix
Underground Labyrinth"
Kiima is thinking about the "Kinjakan," now in the hands of Ranma, that
belongs to Safran-sama. Apparently it's some sort of royal heirloom that
has passed from generation to generation of the leaders of Mount Phoenix.
Meanwhile, her two hench-birdmen, Masara and Koruma are scrambling through a
tunnel in the caverns where Ranma and gang were last seen (with Ryouga
"leading the way"). A cry of "Bakusaitenketsu" resonates through the cave
and knocks the two birdmen flat on their faces.
Ranma, Ryouga, and Mousse are peering through the new hole in the cave wall.
Looking down at the rubble, Ranma sees Kiima's two lackeys partially buried
under rocks. They attack our heroes with their feather flechettes (darts).
As usual, panda-Genma does nothing but silently freak-out while the others run
for cover. Ranma retaliates with the Kinjakan's razor-sharp disc and manages
to bring most of the surrounding rock down on the two birdmen. Unfortunately,
the spinning wheel heads back at the gang at high speed. Runaway! Runaway!
Ryouga bonks Ranma on the head while everyone is running through the tunnel
with the wheel slicing up the cave behind them.
Ryouga's backpack gets hit and the photo-wallet with "Akari-chan" and
"Akane-san" goes flying into the air. Ryouga runs and grabs it, then realizes
that there's a long drop-off under him. Ranma tries to grab his arm but can
only reach the other end of the photo-wallet in Ryouga's hand. "Don't let
go!" Then the flying wheel slams back onto the staff that Ranma is holding
and knocks him backward. The photo-wallet rips in half. Ryouga plummets
into the darkness and Ranma gets buried by an avalanche of rocks.
Ranma slowly regains consciousness and sees Akane's face through a hole in
the rocks. Gathering up his strength he crawls toward Akane and realizes that
it's only the photograph and that there's some light coming in between the
rocks. He picks up the photo and breaks through the rubble. Thinking about
Akane, he quietly ponders the photo then gently places it in his shirt. Then
he freaks out as he sees Plum and panda-Genma looking at him. Mousse is
pounding a wooden pole into the ground. Apparently the gang has found a way
to reach the bird-people's mountain-top lair: two buckets on the ends of a
really long rope that reach up to the top of the enormous cavern. Ryouga is
standing on one of the buckets while Mousse has the other end wrapped around
the pole. Ryouga berates Ranma for taking his photo of Akane; Ranma promptly
steps on Ryouga's head and grabs the rope to climb up.
Meanwhile, Safran is sleeping in his room as his servant (the elderly
birdman) and Kiima are kneeling in respect. (Interesting side-note: there's
a toy panda on Safran's bed.) It would seem that they are worrying about
Safran's health. Kiima is thinking about Safran's instinctive (?) need or
demand for onsen (hot springs). The birdman servant grills some fish and
fans the smoke in Safran's face. Safran, who has just awoken, has a coughing
fit from the smoke and slams the grill onto the servant's head.
Shouts are heard from outside. Ranma, Ryouga, and Mousse are fighting guards
left, right, and center in the halls of Mount Phoenix in search of Shampoo.
On a stone bridge, the three confront Kiima...
