and here are my comments on both:

Lies:
I didn't get too depressed about this one because I love dark writing.
The part at the end, where the killer was revealed was purely 
evil, but it had a sort of sense to it.  I didn't laugh, but I didn't
cry either.  I loved it.

Money:
This wasn't as dark as I thought it was.  Perhaps if the author wee
(were) to include examples of Ranma's villany then it would be darker,
and then the payoff at the end would have been more satisfying.
