The source story, Chris Schumacher's 'I shall love you eternally', is available
from the URL at the bottom of my .sig as the 'Introductory Story'...  The page 
supports both graphics-intensive and text-only browsers.  The whole of 'Ranma
2096' springs from an alternate version of that story, where a vengeful ghost
DOES succeed in killing Ranma...
