                            ************

The sounds of birds chirping could be heard as beams of sunlight break
upon the surface of a hill near the city. As more light fills the scene,
the outlines of a sizable yet simple temple can be made out in the morning
light.

                              ********

"Breakfast is ready!", Belldandy gently announced to the household as she
began to transport the cinnamon rolls from the kitchen. Dressed in a
light yellow dress adorned with the images of flowers, she humms to
herself while preparing the table for the household. 'Kei-ichi and me...
Living happily... la la li la laa laaa'.

                              ********

Elsewhere in the temple, three other residents began their daily morning
routines. The first, who apparently has not recieved much sleep, sits
dejectedly in front of a smoking piece of machinery. Her deep black hair
trails along with her movements as she stands and walks away from her
apparently failed experiment.

"Aaaagh!! What could have gone wrong!!", shouts Skuld as she stops in
front a veritable mountain of notes depicting some kind of device.
Interestingly enough, the notes are sporadically covered with little
character sketches of herself pointing at key location in the equations
and diagrams. Stopping abruptly from her haphazard attempt to find the
answer in the now fluttering myriad of notes, she let's out a long sigh
and walks from the room at her elder sister's call to breakfast. As the
door closes, a small spider-like bunny appears atop the stack of notes and
hops onto the machine, which in turn stops the smoking and begins to
operate, emmitting a soft gentle hum and sparkling lights.

                              ********

Within another room of this rather unique temple, an older female with
long, tremulous, white hair stands in front of a mind boggling setup of
chemistry equipment. Her eyes are apparently tired from the night long
project as they almost drop to closing every now and then as she carefully
pours a deep black liquid from a small vial into a rather large flask.
"Okay... just a little more... Ah! There. Hehe... This'll be fun... and
now, to carefully set this down...", she whispered to herself while gently
setting the now glowing flask down onto the table. However, before she
could complete the step, Skuld's cry of desperation cut through the air
and caused Urd to jolt from her rather strained attention. As she
contemplated the seriousness of the situation the substance's chain
reaction reached critical mass. The resulting explosion blew a hole
through the roof of the temple (though not through the walls), and sent a
burned and sad looking Urd through the air. I don't think she'll make it
to breakfast...

                              ********

'Ah...! Mmmm... I think I can smell Belldandy's Cinnamon Rolls! Yosh!
Time to get up!', a rather cheerful Kei-ichi thought as he began getting
dressed for the morning and day to come. However, his sense of mental
peace was halted for a moment when his gaze landed on a piece of paper, a
letter to be exact, that had arrived the day before. From what he could
tell from the letter, his sempai had once again gotten him into a strange
situation. It would appear that there would be a few exchange students
coming to Japan and consequently, be in attendance at NekomiTech. And...
as things have a way of happening, this temple that he shared with three
goddesses would be where they were going to be staying. Finishing up with
a splash of water to his face, Kei-ichi just sighed and walked out of his
room, trying to catch that good mood he was in before.

                              ********

"I tell ya it'll be fine, Tang!!", hollered Gary as he, Wing Tang Wong,
and Wing Tat Wong headed for the baggage claiming area. "I mean... We
finally get to LIVE in the country where all those.. *ahem* I mean _these_
KAWAII ONNA live!! Haha" His comments draw the disapproving look of the
nearby women, both elderly and young.

"Er.. Gary, _please_ be quiet.. you haven't stopped being so damn
"cheerful" since we got picked this year for the exchange student
program... It's _really_ starting to get annoying.", Wing snapped as he
looked around the airport, almost as if watching for assasins,
oberservers, or hidden cameras, which he was. Heaving a sigh, he began
looking for his luggage, "And besides... what makes you think it'll be any
different here? People are people... if we had problems finding a
girlfriend in the states, what makes you think it'll be any different
here?"

Ignoring Wing's comment, Gary starts heaving luggage off the belt, some of
it wasn't their's. "Tang, you worry too much. Loosen up! Look. We're
in Japan!! We can have fun!!" he finally replied after some people began
yelling at him for taking their luggage.

"Yeah, Wing. Gary's right... we should enjoy this trip. We might even
meet some animators!", came Tat's first reply since the start of the
conversation.

"See? Now your bro knows how to enjoy the situation. Besides, I thought
you loved the Japanese culture?"

"It's one thing to love a culture... and another to live in it, Gary",
Wing replied as he scans the belt for the last of his luggage. Spotting
the it, he heaves out of the stream what appears to be a reinforced
mailing tube. "There, that's the last of our luggage... now, let's find a
Taxi and drop off our stuff at this temple."

As they headed for the exit, Wing thought he saw a flash of green hair
amidst the crowd. 'No!... could it be? Can she really be here? *sigh*
Maybe Gary's starting to get to me.. hehe.. But I guess one has to have
hope, right?' Turning back to his brother and his friend, Wing hurried
towards them.

                              ********

'Huh!!??' Nagisa gasped as she looked around the suddenly unfamiliar
surroundings. 'Has Chaos attacked again? What kind of strange dimension
is it this time?' Appearing behind her, a small white and orange robot
hovers nearby Nagisa, watching out for possible attackers.

"I do not believe it is an attack by Chaos, Nagisa. But we _are_ in
another dimension. I think that last counterstrike by Black Iczelion
might have sent us through a sub-dimension."

"What!!??" Looking around very quickly, Nagisa looked on the verge of
tears. However, finding her surroundings familiar, she quickly calmed
down. "Maybe we've just been teleported away from the group. I mean...
it sure _looks_ like an ordinary airport."

"That may be, Nagisa, but... wait... this is strange..."

"What is it, Iczeru?"

"I'm not picking up Chaos's presence... "

"That's great!!"

"Yes... but I can't contact the other Iczelions either. It's like...
they simple didn't exist..."

"They may just be in another dimension..."

"No... you don't understand Nagisa... Even if we are seperated by
dimensions, we Iczeru's can contact one another, sense our partners.
But... here, I can't sense or detect them."

Caught up in some of her own worries, Nagisa missed the tone of panic in
Iczeru's voice. Nor did she notice all of the stares that she was
drawing, or rather, that Iczeru was drawing. When the circle of people
finally caught her attention, both she and Iczeru departed rapidly.
Strangely enough, she decided to catch a taxi, and as she tried to hail
one, Iczeru phased out, leaving some people who saw it, gasping in
surprise.

                              ********

"Look!! Tang! A taxi! Hehe..." Shouting and pointing at yet another taxi
as it sped by and past them. From the bored and depressed expressions on
their faces, it is evident that Gary's attitude and mannerisms have
managed to scared away both pedestrians and drivers alike.

While Gary was busy drawing attention to himself, Tat pulled out his
sketch pad and began sketching the people that passed by. Rather good at
this, his sketches were soon drawing to him a small crowd of admirers and
wannabe artists. Between this and Gary's almost insane rantings, it's no
wonder that when Wing's absence was finally known, that neither one knew
when or where he had gone to.

                              ********

'It _IS_ HER!' Wing thought to himself as he neared a rather attractive
green haired girl dressed in a typical Japanese school uniform.
Approaching carefully and as silently as he could, he was surprised when
she turned on him.

"Hey! What are you trying to do??" she snapped, sounding both annoyed and
scared. Taking a step back and getting into a defensive stance, Nagisa
prepared for a possible attack from this newcomer. To Wing, however, the
only words that registered were -Mostly Harmless-, -Cute-, and -Beautiful-.

"Umm... I.. I'm sorry if I've startled you... it's just that. Well, you
looked familiar somehow... I..."

Narrowing her eyes a bit in doubt, "Familiar? I..", she began, but was
interrupted by a thought from Iczeru, 'Nagisa, he seems to recognize you.
He _may_ be one of Chaos's, but I'm not sure. I'm not reading anything
from him that would suggest that he was one of Chaos's, but I'd be
careful, Nagisa. However, he _is_ human and his friends look like they...
need help. Maybe it will be safer to travel in a group?' Considering
Iczeru's words, Nagisa agreed and returned her attention to this stranger.
"I don't think I've met you before. What can I do for you?"

Glad that she wasn't going to end the conversation on the spot, he decided
to ask her, "Umm... well, it's just that you seemed familiar... That is...
can you help me and my friends catch a taxi? We're kinda having trouble
hailing one." Visibly nervous, Wing looked like he might run if given the
chance. However, the girl's mixed expression of relief and
dissappointment was not what he had expexted.

"A taxi? Sure. *smiles* You mentioned some friends... how about we catch
the taxi and drive up to pick them up? They don't seem to be with you."

Looks around and not seeing them, scratches the back of his head in
embarassment. "Eheheh... sure. Btw, my name is Wing, Wing Wong. May I
ask yours?"

"Sure. It's Nagisa. Nagisa Kanou.. !! Are you alright?" Nagisa's
reaction was quick enough to catch Wing before he had hit the ground.
'Strange... he looked so shocked to hear my name... does he really know
who I am? Does he know about Iczeru?'. "Wing! Wing! Are you alright?"

Groaning as Nagisa helped him back to his feet, "Yeah... just got a bit
dizzy there... hehe... musta been the airplane food." Laughing lightly and
popping forth one of his rare smiles, he realized the humor in it and
began laughing a bit more deeply. Nagisa noticing his line of thought,
began laughing as well. Sighing mentally, Wing decided to make a mental
note of this encounter and wondered if she really is who he thought she
might be.

Wiping a tear from her eye, Nagisa smiled as she continued to hail the
taxi's, apparently having much better luck than Gary had. Within
minutes, Wing and Nagisa were aboard the taxi with Wing's one piece of
luggage, the mailing tube.

"So... where are your friends?", asked Nagisa as they finished circling
the block for the second time.

Not really looking too worried, Wing decided that they must have succeded
in locating their taxi and gotten ahead to the temple. "They must have
already caught a taxi while I was away...", smiles softly, "I must have
been giving them bad luck. hehe.."

"Hmm.... Well, where were you heading? Maybe we can head there and find
your friends."

"Thanks Nagisa, but I'm really sorry to have put you through so much
trouble. I.. say, is there a number I can call you at? A house or
apartment maybe?"

Almost about to reply, she realized that in this world, she didn't have a
place to live. Frowning sadly, she shook her head silently. 'How do you
tell someone that you aren't from this world and ask them for help??'
Sighing, "I've just arrived here, Wing. I don't have a place to stay
yet, let alone to recieve calls. Sorry..."

"Hey! I have an idea!", smiles hopefully, "I just arrived as well... But
I'm not sure if they'll allow it, but we were going to be living at this
temple and..."

                              ********

As Wing and Nagisa headed for the temple in their taxi, the passed by
NekomiTech, the local university. Strangely enough, Gary and Tat had,
due to some poor explaining on the part of Gary, arrived at NekomiTech
University.

"USOO!!!! This isn't the temple!!" hollared Gary, which drew _MANY_
irritated stares from passing students. Many of which who were trying to
study for upcoming exams.

"Gary, be quiet! We're on a university campus!" Tat said in hushed tones
to the rather disturbed Gary. "There are students who are studying."

"But we need help!! Aren't there any... hello?"

At this point, a small force had detached from the main mob of annoyed
students. Of course, they were heading towards the annoying, irritable,
loudmouth in an attempt to perhaps silence this nuisance for all eternity.
Their leader, a rather attractive lady with rich dark black brown hair,
stepped forward. Her voice sounded very alluring, but extremely cold as
well. "You!", pointing at Gary, "Shut up or I'll have you removed from
this campus.", then smiling evilly and suggestively, "Or maybe something
worse. hohoho..."

Unable to put up with insults from attractive females, Gary stood up from
sitting on some of Wing's luggage and faced her. "Ha! You don't scare
me. I can take you on! And your friends too!" The last part he added
when he noticed that the contingent that came with her were all females.

Flipping her hair back, Sayoko signalled to some other students in
hiding. Coming out from the side of the walkway, several members of the
S&M club grabbed Gary and dragged him into the bushes. Umm... I don't
think we'll be hearing much from gary later, but he had this to say
before the screaming began, "Hey!! Get your hands out of there!! Oh my
GOD!! What are you sticking me with.. Aaaagh!!! Tat!!! Help!!"

Tat had been busy sketching and since he wore earphones to screen out
Gary's incessent ramblings, he never noticed Gary's absence. That is...
until he looked up to see what was making the bushes shake and the trees
shudder.

Laughing quite evilly, Sayoko returned with her pack to the main school
buildings. Shortly after, a _VERY_ ravished Gary fell forward from the
bushes in front of Tat. The S&M club members had enough decency to cloth
him before he was returned.

"Hi Gary, where have you been? Those bushes have been doing the
strangest things for the past hour or two. hehe... C'mon, let's go see if
we can walk to the temple from here. I hear that the couple over there
lives at the temple. Maybe they can give us a lift."

Gary merely groans out an incoherent reply.

                              ********

"Oh My!! Kei-ichi-san, it looks like that annoying student over there just
got worked over by Sayoko's S&M club friends. He might need help!",
exclaimed Belldandy as she stood by the moped, holding her riding helmet.

Hearing her, Kei-ichi turned to see the pair, one sketching and the other
floundering on the ground. 'Hmm... I guess we _should_ help them...'
"Sure, Belldandy. I guess they do look kinda lost."

                              ********

'Pain... oh the PAIN!!!', were Gary's current thought elements. Through
his distorted sense of perception, thanks to the S&M club, he could only
make out movements and colors. Then suddenly, he heard an angelic voice.
"You will be healed... don't worry..." Then, he was filled with a warm
feeling all over. He knew that things would be all better from now on.

"GARY!!! WAKE UP!!"

"AAGH!!", screams Gary as he opens his eyes to someone's loud shouting in
his ear. Looking around, he could see that he was resting on a futon in
a rustic looking Japanese styled room. "Wow... how did I get here..."
Seeing a note resting on the floor nearby, he understood and tried to get
some rest.

The note read:
" Don't try to move around Gary. You're at the temple, but umm... due
to some strange happenings, if you try to move in the next few
days, you might have involuntary bowel movements. You've been given
treatment as best as possible, but what's left requires normal healing
that no medicine can fix. - Tat

P.S. Out looking for Wing. He still hasn't come around yet. Kei-ichi
and Belldandy are helping me look for them."

"I must be dreaming... or having a nightmare...." groaned Gary as he went
back to sleep.

                              ********

"Are you sure, Nagisa?", Wing asked as he got back into the Taxi.

"Yes, Wing. And thanks for the offer, but I know how things might turn
out. Besides, I have your number, so I'll call when I've finished
unpacking. hehe...", Nagisa giggled as she waved to the departing Wing.
"I'll see you at school tomorrow... NekomiTech, Right?"

"Yes... I'll be looking for you. G'night!"

"Good night, Wing. And thanks for lunch and all... I hadn't realised how
forgetful I was, not bringing enough for this trip..."

"It's okay. Besides...", smiling as he attempts to tease her, "I'm sure
we'll think of some form of re-payment. hehe..", but ends up blushing
furiously.

Giggling, Nagisa waves to Wing who is finally driven off in the taxi.
'Hmm... maybe this won't be as bad afterall... ^_^'

'Nagisa. I think I've found a way back...', came Iczeru's telepathically
conveyed words.

Pausing in her climb up the stairs to her new apartment, 'Really? How?',
she questioned as she continued to mount the steps up.

'It seems there's a rift between more than just dimensions... in
combination with Black Iczelion's counterattack, something else happened
in this world as well. If we can find out what happened, we may be
able to return.'

Both excited at the prospect of returning home and saddened at leaving
this peacful world behind, Nagisa opened to door to her apartment and
decided to take a shower.

                              ********

'Wow... maybe Gary was right.', Wing smiled on his way to the temple.

His trip to the temple had been interrupted with a loud rumbling from both
Nagisa's and Wing's empty stomachs, which prompted them to detour to a
small noodle stand for lunch. Having started to relax around each other
more, they started to talk about their lives, since both were in a sense
lost in another world.

And so, the day had been spent talking with Nagisa. She had so many
interesting hobbies and goals. Like wanting to be a pro-wrestler, a good
student, and a role-model. 'Wow... and we get along.', chuckled Wing as
he replayed the day's sequence of events in his mind for the third time.

As the taxi arrives at the temple, it's about three in the afternoon and
the temple grounds had a slighlt fuzzy look to it because of the softened
light. As Wing stepped from the taxi with the slim piece of luggage he
had brought with him, he noticed that his other luggage had already
arrived, but Tat and Gary were not immediately visible.

'Oh well, maybe they went out for lunch or something. Hello? A note?'.
Taking a closer look at the note, he realized it was a message to others
here that they were out looking for him. 'Oh well, guess I was gone for a
bit too long. But it was interesting.'

Knocking on the from door, he was greeted moments later by a rather
tired and bored looking Urd. "Hello? Can I help you?" For some reason,
Urd looked a bit burned and the word "Baka" was written all over her face.

"Umm.. yes, my name is Wing Tang Wong. I'm an exchange student who's
been assigned to NekomiTech... and..."

"And you are going to be living here, right? Say... you're the one who's
been missing all day... Well, I'll show you to your room then. Oh yeah,
one of your friends, Gary is it? Well, he's... sick."

"Oh.. I'm sorry if he acts that way..."

Laughing, Urd replied, "No. I meant he has gotten sick. But I'll accept
your apology now. I'm aware of his... tendencies." Urd continues to laugh
as she shows him through the hallways of the temple, stopping every now
and then to show him the location of kitchens, storage rooms, and private
rooms for rest. Stopping in front of a room marked "Skuld", she smiles
mischieviously, "This is Skuld's room. She's my youngest sister... I
have this feeling that the two of you might have some... hehe... common
interests." Still smiling and trying to stifle a series of giggles, Urd
leads Wing to his room, which was just across the hall from Skuld's.

"Umm... I.. I don't have a choice, huh?"

"Nope. But I'm sure you two will get along... eventually." With that
mystical comment, Urd leaves Wing to his own devices and heads towards the
living room, giggling all the way there till the sounds of the television
drowns out her laughter.

Walking the short distance to his new room, Wing notices that his things
were already in the room and need only be unpacked. Placing what he was
carrying on the table, he began his unpacking while again thinking back to
some things that he and Nagisa had talked about.

                              ********

This had been "one of those days" for Skuld. Not only did she not know
why the device had started to working again, she also didn't know how to
stop it from working or even change the way it is working. It was almost
as if the device existed with a life of it's own.

"Why can't Urd just stop messing with my works of art!", she mumbled as
she scaled the steps towards the entrance of the temple. She had been
scouring the local electronic stores in an attempt to find some "decent"
components for a new machine to aid in the handling of her current one,
but found relatively little here. And since she was still bearing the
on-earth training order, she couldn't return to the heavens for "decent"
parts.

Upon reaching the front door to the temple and having read the note, she
just sighed. 'I wonder when I will find something to fill my life here
with...', she wondered for the first time in a long while. Being the
youngest of the three sisters, a goddess of the heavens, and a bit of a
tomboy, she never really had the time or the occasion to express some
more personal feelings other than those which applied to her work.
Sighing heavily once again, she opened the door to the temple and stepped
in, wondering if her elder sister wondered the same things before she had
met Keiichi.

                              ********

While scanning the sides of the road for any signs of Wing, Tat just
sighed. 'I wonder where he may have gotten to...', smiles lightly, 'guess
he's running on that independent streak of his again... though he never
seems to admit it.' Shaking his head, Tat decides that Wing is having more
fun than he's having right now. "Do you guys think he may have returned
to the temple?"

"Hmm... there's a thought. Let's call in and see if he's arrived yet.",
suggested Keiichi as he headed for one of the nearby pay phones.

                              ********

*RING* *RING*

"I've got it!" shouted Skuld as she dashes from her room towards the
phone, but she never made it. On leaving her room, she had impacted with
Wing, who was just leaving his room as well. The both of them landing on
the floor with Skuld on top of a rather confused and sore-bottomed Wing.

"Ouch...", he let out as he looked down at the female figure looking up
at him from her position on his stomach. "Er... hi.", Wing managed,
starting to get a bit red in the face.

*RING* *RING*

>From the living room, Urd shouted, "Hey! You going to get it or not,
Skuld?" Footsteps can be heard as Urd rounds the corner to see the two
looking at each other from their prone positions. "Nevermind, I'll get
the phone."

*RING* *RING*

"Ummm... I..", Skuld tries to manage as she suddenly realizes that she's
virtually lying on top of this male stranger. Blushing slightly, she
pulls herself off of him and watches him watching her with a nervous
expression. 'Who is he? Why am I blushing so much? And why aren't we
saying anything?? He's just a mortal human....', she thought silently,
but another voice in her mind was telling her the answers... answers that
she pushed away for another time. "Sorry about running into you like
that.. uh..."

Realizing the lack of introductions, "Oh! My name is Wing. I'm an
exchange student... and I...uh.." Running out of words as his mind
started blanking again when he looked into the innocent face of the girl
sitting on the floor across from him.

'Why is he staring at me like that!!??', she thought frantically.
Looking at his face more closely, she noticed that it wasn't a negative
expression. It was more like...

"HEY!! Wing!", came Urd's shout from the hall, "It's Keiichi and
Belldandy. They just called and said they'll be coming back soon from
their search." Walking around the corner again to see why things have
become silent, she smiled as she saw the two looking at each other with
confused and dazed looks. 'Hmm... it WAS a good idea to put them in rooms
across from each other. hehe...'

Noticing that her eldest sister was now watching them, Skuld snapped out
of her reverie and blushed furiously, which Wing also did as he noticed
the suddent return to the real world.

"Ah!! Urd, what are you doing here??", came her scattered reply.

Giggling, Urd only smiled and returned a look, saying, "And what are YOU
doing here, eh Skuld?" Before she has time to respond, Urd walks back
around the corner to watch television again.

"Aaaagh!!", screams Skuld as she runs into her room, sliding the doors
shut behind her.

Wing, still sitting on the floor of the hallway between his room and
Skuld's, could only twitch his eye slightly as his mind was still in
shock and confusion. The fact that his blood was pumping a bit fast
didn't exactly help as he silently said to nobody in general, "Is it a
bit hot in here or is it just me?"

                              ********

'What was that? I heard women's voices... giggling and then a scream.
Where am I!??', came Gary's suddenly concious thoughts. Moving around a
bit, Gary realized that for some reason, his pants were rather moist and
it felt like there was somekind of mush in his pants. Remembering the
note by the futon, he only groaned inwardly. 'This can't be happening...'

                              ********

Author notes: A small paragraph to summarize the modifications to the
fanfic currently being written.

Intro scene changed... or rather, a new intro scene introduced. The new
scene will introduce the Standard AMG characters to give the reader a
sense of who these characters are. ^_- The feel and perspective will be
changed... A new style of marking being tested. Ice cream parlor scenes
and "unnecessary" scenes to be removed or delayed. Some... er... camios
to be added. ;) Will try to incorporate some more common markings.
Annoying character to be written out. Guess who? Hehe... Titling scheme
changed.

Next time...

Introduction of a few camios, Gary walks again, a day at school, and some
other things un-imagined as of yet. ^_^
