Yeah. Maybe the author can re-post it, with the discussion it's been

Because Ranma is the best! ^_^
Ranma is on such a tension line.  You *want* to see something happen to 
the characters.  You *want* to see Ranma and Akane get together, or at 
least have their relationship evolve.  However, in the anime, while 
it constantly flirts in these directions, nothing ever happens after episode 
#6.  Fanfics fill the void.
And the dark fics?  Errr...who knows.  I'm tempted to say that the 
characters are sweet and happy you feel like they deserve a little 
punishment...but then that'd go doubly so for Oh My Goddess! or similar 
anime.  Perhaps people just feel like writing dark stuff, and there's 
already a precedent for dark Ranma fanfics, so they turn their dark 
stories into dark Ranma fanfics.
