On Fri, 12 Apr 1996, COLIN LOADER spake:

Joyce hath engraved:

stuff that _Hemingway_ didn't know (and Hemingway was a superbeing!).

   As a matter of fact, Hemingway's inability to write dialouge is almost
legendary. His characters and sentences have a flat, stilted feel to
them. Witness this submission to the 1995 Bad Hemingway Contest (no joke!)

<submission snipped - but it was funny!>

Yeah, Hemingway's style is...sparse, you could say. But I love it. For
some reason, it works.

   This rather interesting style of his was probably the result of his
career. Just another pitfall we Journalists have to avoid. :-)

Spiffy! I didn't know you were a journalist!

Joey-kun no iinazuke!

Calla (typing): The streets darkened. She looked up. The black clouds
  spread. Slacker knew she had one way out.
joyce: Hey! Stop trying to write my posts for me!
