Not that my opinion matter much, but I find writing fanfics much easier
than writing a regular story. Since you're basically writing to an audience that
is fairly well acquainted with the main characters, descriptions of those character
do not have to go too much into detail, as well as their particular actions.
Now of course this doesn't mean you shouldn't put in description.
Yeah, fanfic writing is easier than starting a story from scratch but it
does offer it's own set of unique problems. Unlike your own original work
you can't explore the characters in unique way's as easily as you can if
you make your characters from scratch. For example if I write a story
with Kasumi saving the world with incredible martial art's skill I would
probably have to explain why she's so diffirent from her excepted
character(which requires long winded explinations..). So the fanfic field
does provide some problems, though any good writer can easily sove any of
these problems....
BTW Roy, I just finished War of The leaves. Another great chapter!!Please
keep them coming (I still wanna know what's up with Genma..)
