Ah! Megami-sama:
Crossover
A fanfic by
Chan Wei Lik
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Notes: All characters are from Kosuke Fujishima's manga "Ah!
Megami-sama" and are copyrighted as such.
Obvious from the title, this is a crossover. But I haven't heard of
a crossover like this one before.

"Plug the blue wire into slot L-15, Keiichi."
Glumly, Morisato Keiichi complied. It had started out as a regular
morning, he had finished breakfast and was chatting with Belldandy
while she packed his lunch. Then Skuld came along.
"Ah! Just the man I was looking for. I need your help Keiichi."
she said as she dragged him to her room, playfully labeled as "Skuld's
Research Lab".
"I don't have time for this!" Keiichi protested, "I have to get to
class on time!"
"You'll have enough time." Skuld replied, "This won't take very
long." as she opened the door and pushed him inside.
Keiichi stared at the machine in the middle of the room. It had a
rather clunky appearance, about half his height and had unidentifiable
protrusions on its sides.
"What is it?" Skuld said, anticipating his question, "It called
Preceptor, for studying the space-time fabric in the vicinity." she
explained. "I figured since I was here for `further studies' I might as
well do some...... studying."
Uh huh, Keiichi remembered. A few months ago, Urd had been
temporarily recalled for `retraining' while Skuld was asked to return to
apply for permission for `further studies in the mortal realm'. It had
been a golden opportunity for Keiichi to be alone with his sweetheart
goddess Belldandy, but he had wasted it......
"With your help, I should be able to finish this in half the time
needed." Skuld said, "So hurry up!"
So Keiichi plugged in wires and other components as Skuld
directed. He wondered if she was doing this just to make him spend less
time with Belldandy..
"Why couldn't you ask Urd to help?" he asked as he plugged
several cables into a central junction.
"Would you ask _her_ to help fix your bike?" Skuld retorted
angrily.
"Right....." Keiichi kicked himself mentally. Wrong question.
"There, done!" Skuld exclaimed as she closed a panel. "Another
excellent job if I do say so myself!" she smiled and her eyes were
twinkling as she said that, she always took pride in her creations.
"Now to test it." Skuld said as she flipped a switch, "Preceptor,
switch ON!"
With a low hum, Preceptor came to life. I hope it doesn't
explode, thought Keiichi, still sitting close to Preceptor on the other
side. It then occurred to him that it would be a very good idea to
relocate himself.....
Before he could do anything however, he was hit by a wave of
nausea. It seemed that he was being turned inside out repeatedly. It was
getting hard to breath, the air just wouldn't move. Reality seemed to be
breaking down around him, colors shifted from one end of the spectrum
to the other, his vision went from sharp to blur and back again. Even
his thought processes seemed jerky.
"Turn that...... thing..... OFF!" he managed to shout with the last
of his strength.
Preceptor wasn't responding properly. Although it appeared to be
working, all Skuld could see on her monitor was garbage. She was
wondering what was wrong when she noticed a curious optical distortion
coming from the other side of Preceptor. Then she heard Keiichi scream,
and immediately shut it off.
Hearing his scream, Belldandy also came running into the room.
She saw Keiichi crumpled on the floor, in obvious discomfort, and
quickly ran to his side.
"Oh Keiichi-san, what happened? Are you aright?" Belldandy
asked anxiously.
The moment Skuld turned off Preceptor, whatever had held
Keiichi released him instantly. Dazed, he lay on the floor breathing
hard, then he felt Belldandy embrace him.
He smiled at her, "I'm.... fine now... just let me... rest...." he
replied and lay in her kind embrace, forgetting everything else.......
Then he noticed Skuld and frowned.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Skuld asked.
Keiichi got up, "That's it! No more. I'm leaving." He growled and
left the room shakily with Belldandy's help. Leaving Skuld to puzzle
out where she went wrong.
-------
Not long after leaving Skuld's room, Keiichi was soon able to
walk on his own again. He held Belldandy's hand in his as they walk
towards the garage.
"That's so nice of you Keiichi-san." Belldandy smiled at him.
She was happy, it wasn't often that Keiichi held hands with her.
Maybe he's getting braver, she thought, that would be good for him.
"Thank you Belldandy." Keiichi replied with a blush.
He had gotten used to holding hands with Belldandy. But he still
felt a little shy at her praise. Keiichi looked at Belldandy in his own
special way, she was the most important person in his life. If he should
lose her again like he nearly did two years ago.... Belldandy, unawares,
continued to smile at him as she usually did. They soon reached the
bike and got on.
With a loving smile at Belldandy, Keiichi said, "Let's go!" and
started his BMW. From the sidecar, Belldandy smiled back at him.
-------
While walking with Keiichi to the garage, Belldandy couldn't help
but feel that something was amiss with Keiichi. He seemed a little....
distant right now. I hope he's aright, she was worried for him.
Keiichi noticed her concerned expression, he smiled, "If you're
still worried, I really am feeling aright. Really. So relax. Please,
Belldandy." He tried to reassure her.
Belldandy smiled back at him, "If you say so, Keiichi-san. Please
do tell me if you feel anything wrong afterwards." She advised him.
"Yes, I will. Thank you for you concern, Belldandy." Keiichi
replied with a smile as he got onto his bike.
As Belldandy got on beside him, she still could not quite shake
the feeling that there was something.... different about Keiichi this
morning. She hoped that it was just her imagination.
-------
In her "Lab" Skuld was pouring over reams of mathematics and
elaborate technical diagrams. Preceptor still stood in the center of the
room, partially dismantled now. Occasionally, Skuld would go from her
papers to the machine in her attempt to puzzle out its failure this
morning.
The door slid open, "Hey, Skuld." Urd called out.
"Yes?" Skuld said in an annoyed tone. She hated interruptions,
particularly from her eldest sister.
"Just telling you that I'm going over to NIT for a while." She
announced, "Try not to blow the house up while everybody is gone."
"Ha. Ha. Ha." Skuld mocked her, "What's the occasion?"
"I saw Keiichi and Belldandy holding hands when they left. And
he didn't look the least bit embarrassed about it." Urd told her, "I have
this feeling that something is gonna happen, and I want to be on hand
to see it! Ciao kiddo!" Urd waved goodbye and left.
"Don't call me kiddo." Skuld grumbled under her breath.
It took her a few moments to realize what Urd had told her. Skuld
looked from Preceptor to her papers and back again.
"No way!" she exclaimed, then went back to her research.
