Sage - as Andy said - there are many different nationalities, and 
timezones on this mailing list.  The idea of 'April Fools' is a mainly 
western tradition, not world wide - NOT ALL PEOPLE FOLLOW APRIL FOOLS DAY!

There's a Ranma song mentioning April Fools' day, so it can't be that unknown
in Japan.
