Sir Allegra: Tis better to take this chance than to appear before him 
	with our hands empty...
Sir Virgo: Then let us plot the end of this errant prince...

Jody The Red listens to the plans of the treacherous ZAV Knights, and then
makes haste to an isolated guest house at the edge of Spamalot's grounds . . .

Prince Panda: Jody! You have returned! 'Tis good to see your smiling face.
Quickly! What news of the plot to eradicate me?

Jody The Red: 'Tis as you feared. The Knights of ZAV  have devised a trap
for you m'lord. You must leave this accursed kingdom at once, and return
with me to our homeland in the east!

Prince Panda: (Paces the floor, deep in thought) I cannot leave my queen in
the hands of that tyrant! Because of King Rob we lost our freedom, don't you
remember? Your mother was killed in the border wars as was my Father.
We cannot allow him to escape when he is so close!

Jody The Red: I think you are becoming too close to this queen. It clouds
your judgement prince! Forget her! She has told you herself that she can
never leave him! Why do you tarry so? We must leave at once so that we may
live to see the sunrise!

Prince Panda: (Turns to Jody) I am sorry my friend. If you leave here now
then you leave alone. I will not leave without my queen!

Jody The Red: You are a fool then! Why I ever followed you here is beyond
me! My Emperor believed you to be a dependable servant. And now look at you!
You can think only of *your* queen. A woman who is married to a murderer.
She herself is the enemy!

Prince Panda: (Grabs Jody by the collar) Speak not of her such or I will
have thy tongue!!

JodyThe Red: (Wrenches free from the prince's grip) Fine! So be it fool! I
leave you now to your doom and may it be swift, for I know that in your
heart you are not a traitor, but a man bewitched by the moonlight in your
queen's
eyes. Good morrow foolish prince, and may God see you fit to live through
this night to tell the tale of this bittersweet romance. Farewell.

[The door to the darkened guest room closes behind Jody The Red, leaving
Prince Panda to contemplate his fate alone]

Prince Panda: (Goes to a window) Ah, sweet moon. Thy amber light fills me
with great courage, while my compatriot leaves me to face a trap that may
take me away from my queen. What am I to do? It seems I have no allies but
the queen herself. And she is a prisoner of this divine court, unable to asisst
me but for a kiss to bolster my already foolish heart. (Sighs) Perhaps this
night will be my last. If this is true sweet moon, then let me look upon
thee one last time before I venture into the night to face my enemies.
Forgive me my queen, for my heart is torn asunder by this predicament, and I
fear that you and I will endure the same before the night is through.
