Destiny world, she just hasn't run into Ranma yet - when is the next
Martial Arts Rythmic Gymnastics tournament scheduled? :-)

Actually, this could be interesting - after all, of all the girls chasing
him in the normal Ranmaverse, Kodachi is the only one who the current
situation doesn't automatically exclude. (He was forcibly disengaged to
Akane, he was never engaged to Ukyou, and he never even got on the same
continent as Shampoo.) However, Ranma wished for a more or less normal
life, and if Kodachi as she is in the Ranmaverse ends up chasing him, his
life won't be anywhere near normal. Would the wish take that into
account and make this universe's Kodachi different in some way? Or would
it consider just having not had him go to the Rythmic Gymnastics
tournament sufficient? I'm somewhat intrigued by the idea of a somewhat
more well-adjusted Kodachi - not too much more so, or you'll lose a lot
of her unique flavor, but perhaps in this universe, she managed to come
to terms better with her mother's death (I tend to operate under the
assumption that Mrs. Kuno died long ago, and that was what sent the three
surviving Kunos into the states we know them today), and she's now not
nearly as obsessive about love. And since Kinuko is sort of going to
be filling the Kodachi/Shampoo 'Unscrupulous Chaser' role, a revised
Kodachi might make an interesting contrast. Or perhaps she's already
attached - she found a 'true love' earlier, for instance. (I've always
wondered, to tell the truth, if there was any significance to her 'I
almost gave up dating boys' comment. Did it just mean she was going to
give up dating in general, or... I'm probably reading too much into it,
really. Still, she and Azuka the White Lily might make an interesting
pair if they weren't rivals.)
