Hello, everyone.
Thanx for the input on "The Circe Project". I probably should have
done this sooner, but a few explanations as to the security measures are in
order.
I reasoned that Sylia would not sacrifice one of the Sabers unless
it was absolutely necessary. So...here's what I came up with.
1. If someone other than the designated person is using the suit,
the suit recognizes this and anesthetizes them, then heads back
to the nearest stationary or mobile base.
2. If the suit is powered up and operational, but noone is in it, then
the suit heads back to the nearest stationary or mobile base.
3. If it cannot get back to a base, then, and only then, will the
system self-destruct.
As for Linna's plunge...her resulting transformation messed up the
hardsuit so much that even the final option was impossible.
I'll post a final draft of Part 1 on Friday...there won't be any
serious changes to it. Part 2 won't be out for a few weeks. I thought of
a scene that I want to add to my draft, and it will take awhile to actually
write it. For those who haven't read it, I'll be reposting "Sunrise" on
Friday, too.
More comments:
Careful Destiny: Cool. Damn cool. Kinuko is something not seen in
the traditional Ranma stories: a true vixen, a dark seductress who sees
Ranma as something to be owned, not loved.
We Don't Serve Okonomiyaki Here (I think that's the title, anyway...):
I like the subdued atmosphere of this fic. Just a bunch of regular joes
who end up encountering some not-so-regular joes (and joannes). It's a
pleasant change from the tense, in-your-face serious fic or the
laugh-it-up-fuzzball comedy.
Also, if you are interested in participating in a fanfic panel at
Project: A-Kon, please let me know. I'd like to get in touch with Dave &
Meri as soon as possible to let them know we have enough people for it.
If we can get one or two more, then we should have enough to do it.
Well, have fun, and thanks for all the comments.
