I was po'd about consequences when I write my first post, but I think you
missed my main point completely.  A dream sequence is still a part of a
story, and it still results in a lemon tone, which means that I have to make
a judgement call as to whether or not my son gets to read a particular
fanfic.  He loves Ranma fanfics, but I am still the one responsible for
determining suitability.  When he gets older, he can judge for himself, for
now, I have to.  That is why I'm bitching, because my son LIKES "Careful
Destiny" and I don't want to have to tell him that he can't read it anymore!  

ps Flame away if you wish!  I am a father with a 13 old son, and I consider
this warping of an excellent fanfic to be an outright shame.

heh heh heh heh... there's a few thing I could say here... I'll just
say that it seems some people love to find stuff to bitch about,
frequently stuff they don't really know well enough.  The whole
Internet Decency Act fiasco is a good example of this.

Say them Joshua, I don't mind, since I believe in free speech and I despise
the IDA as much as anyone.  In fact. my name was on both petitions.  If what
you say aggravates me, I'll respond in kind, if not, then fine, I will
simply appreciate your comments.  In spite of the Feds, it's still a fairly

ps A personal plea to the fanfic authors: if you want to write a lemony
story, go for it!  Ms. CAS does great ones, and RR did a classic lemon
fanfic; however, if you start a "regular" story line, please don't change it
in midstream to a lemon.  It makes life difficult sometimes.  Arigato.
