Don't tell me those hardsuit breach so easily just after being whipped =
around by a few tentacles. A not just breached, but big enough for the =
wearer to be drenched when fallen into the springs.

Maybe they breached due to Plot neccessity?
  
Maybe a few Boomers should be on hand to soften them up first.  Or maybe
the tentacles could have spikes that rip into the armor.  Or they could
knock the helmets off.  (Not likely to hapen to all four, though.)
