living thrown in... ie, water over head, and the curse will affect the 
person... According to the legend, you don't have to touch the water, 
just fall in the well...  Of course, I guess getting touched by it would 
work too...

transform someone.

Best guess is that the cursed water will penetrate the armour and that 
the tentacles merely insert the object to be experimented with. ;)

	Seems the closest/most logical explination, I doubt there is (or
rather was) any reason for Sylia to fully water-proof the suits.  Either
that, or the impacts could have damaged the existing seals normally
desinged for immersion/gas attacks.
