Sailor Mercury (or the massed Sailor Senshi) diverting this universe from
the Arthurian Tragedy?
Maybe. What I'm thinking of is telling the story of the Grail Quest with
Sailor Mercury drawn into the quest, as she hopes it will have the power
to help her get home...along the way she'll realize what is going to
happen...and try to figure out what she can do to avert the tragedy she
knows may be coming...
Hmmm.... as I recall my Arthurian legends, the Grail quest was launched
when Camelot was at it's height and was one of the main things that
weakened it before Lancelot was blinded by love and tore it apart.
To avert the tragedy would probably require Sailor Mercury to hang around
and influence things after the quest, either that or for her to find a
way back afterwards. Would depend a lot on how close you stuck to the
legends, and on how much Sailor Mercury can remember about them.
True, but in crossovers like this, you don't have to stick 100% to
existing timeframes. I know we're going to diverge from the Wheel of Time
timeline later on in Ta'veren 1/2 - if we tried to stick to that
timeframe, we'd go nuts, and we'd also have to write 6 or 7 novels worth
of fanfic. (Not that we might not go nuts waiting for the next Wheel of
Time book, anyway...3 months and counting...or is it 2 months and 3 weeks
now?)
