But, WoH is *EXCELLENT*.

Yeah, I haven't heard to many good things about Crash! but I would like to
see it for two reasons 1) Research for my fanfic(s) (maybe another BGC
fic in the very early stages) and 2) Curiosity ;)

How do you plan to use the very contorted BGCrash universe in a
BGCrisis universe??? I'm curious as to that.

Well the interesting thing is, I've essentially created my own BGCross
universe. Cross is an alternate timeline to BG Crash! and is an attempt to
write a more plausible and more continuity-sensitive follow-up. Naively, I
started out thinking that I would write the most logical sequence of events
considering everything that happened in BG Crisis. But when I looked at the
whole series again, there are a myriad of ways that the future could have
unfolded after BGCrisis. There are quite a few holes in the plot that offer
a fanfic author some great story ideas.

I don't claim to be a BGC expert or anything, but like Jeanne I am a bit of
a stickler for details. My humble fic got started when I freeze-framed the
video on Sylia's data unit in BGC#1 and saw a big blue '2' on it. My first
question was, "Who has #1?" I couldn't think of anyone in BG Crisis who
could have logically had data unit #1 (I did toy with the idea of Mackie
having it, but I couldn't see him witholding it from Sylia) so I had to make
someone up. And that's where all the fun began in trying to make this new
character "fit". I actually hadn't solidly placed him as growing up at
Raven's Garage until recently, when I submitted the updated prologue.
Believe it or not, I didn't know where Sylia and the KS were going to take
him after they left the military base in Part 8!<g> I have a pretty detailed
outline for the rest of the story, but there's plenty of room for
spontaneous inspirations.

To answer your question after all my blathering, I'm interested to see what
happened in Crash! from the standpoint of a historical and chronological
perspective. I'd really like to know how far off or how close I am to what
the BG writers came up with. I've heard and read bits of the plotline and it
seems there are some parallels. I must confess that Largo was going to make
a re-appearance, but that idea got squelched early on. BG Crash! had beaten
me to it, and from what I've heard, thay screwed it up so bad that nobody
wants to read about a plausible comeback for Largo. So a frantic search for
a villain began and ended recently, when the villain turned up right under
my nose. *It* has been the bane of the Knight Saber's existence from the
very beginning of their careers, and even before that, was causing trouble
for the AD Police. IMHO, this villain makes Largo look like a puppet.

That's funny- he was ;)

I said you, because I really like your writing style and quality.

Thanks Ben :) I'm humbled and honoured by your compliment. The plot
itself is intriguing, but I can't honestly say I'd be interested in

Heh! I was going to form a procrastinator's support group, but I never got
around to it ;)

BTW: Since posting my previous reply, I've been thinking really hard about
the Ghost In The Shell fanfic idea. Me thinks that one is moving up the
priority list. Might take a crack at it when I finish up Volume 1 of Cross
in May. But I gotta watch the OAV first; it's only been in the U.S. (I was
informed by the distributor that there are no planned Canadian showings) for
a few months and is only being shown at special screenings in selected
cities. How much does a plane ticket to Japan cost these days anyway?
