Yes, Cons have been done down here (mostly Star-Trek oriented). No, I do
not think it'd be feasable. For one thing, you'd need a draw-card for
your first 'con, or else *nobody*'s gonna show up. Second, to get anyone
of promienece to the con, we'd have to fly them from overseas. Guys, I
*don't* know what the prices are like on the other side of the Pacific,
but to fly from here to LA and back, economy-class, costs AU$1,500
off-peak (roughly US$1,110). Flights to/from Japan are worse.
Nope. Not feasable unless we manage to land a sponsor with a *lot* of
money.
