Some points brought up by John Walter Biles in his posts - 

1)  Regarding Akane being angry when she finds out Ranma changes into a girl - 
she was really just looking for any out and when that came up she jumped on 
it.

2)  On Akane deciding to cut her hair - Since the reason (in the original) she 
grew it long in the first place was to make Dr. Tofu think she was more like 
Kasumi, she cut it off as more of a desire to get a fresh start once she left 
her crush on Dr. Tofu behind her.

3)  On Kasumi not knowing Dr. Tofu's full name - its not as farfetched as you 
might think.  I know a number of people (mostly aunties and uncles - not real 
aunties and uncles but just friends of my parents) that I've never known their 
full names since Auntie so-and-so was enough for me while growing up.
