To address some points in some posts - 

1)  When Kasumi shows the Saotomes to their rooms, it is their permanent 
rooms.  Nodoka and Genma in one (when Genma returns) and Ranko and Ranma in 
the other.  While some may argue that Ranma and Ranko should get separate 
rooms, they've been living in the same room for some time now (the Saotome 
house isn't that big) so they're used to it.  It doesn't matter anyway.  
Ranma's moving out in the next episode after they return.

2)  As to episode 2, I'll get started after episode 1 is off and away to the 
remailer and r.a.a.s. since I don't know how much will be added until then, if 
any.  I felt that episode 1 wasn't resolved in the best way in terms of the 
overall storyline, so I added material rather than either starting episode 2 
with them leaving, then taking a month off during the story, then coming 
back.  Besides, it let me introduce elements such as Shampoo working at the 
clinic, and Kasumi and Tofu and Shampoo and Tofu (and how that turns out I 
haven't even thought about yet).
