How can you not like Akane?  You wouldn't be jealous would you?

She loves Ranma, granted, but on all evidence no more or less than Shampoo 
or Ukyou does.  And life with her would be dangerous as she's a toxic 
cook and inept at domestic duties, but insists upon doing them anyway.

But there is evidence that she loves Ranma more than Ukyou (and Shampoo,
if you think Shampoo loves, rather than lusts after, Ranma)... Granted
Ukyou wasn't around, but Akane gave her life to save Ranma. Didn't see
Shampoo try that... She just wanted to get Ranma into bed, and that was
it. Akane loves Ranma so much that she's willing to die for him...

(BTW, I still haven't had evidence of Shampoo being able to cook... She
may start to cook in that OVA, but Ukyou wrecks it before Shampoo gets
any result. And I don't go on OVAs, anyway, unless they are in the
manga... Anyone know where in the manga that Shampoo cooks? I can only
recall her serving Cologne's stuff and delivering food...)
