First, with the possible exception of the times when
his mother's around (and he stated this took place after
his mother found out) he's never a girl long enough to 
have the female sex hormones kick in.  So he never could
have had his period in the first section.

I thought everyone was 16 years old, anyways!  Wouldn't
that mean everyone had already gone through those "changes?"
