Well, I've already said it, but me too!

2) The kiss (Ranma and Akane) did seem kind of sudden and almost out of 
  character.  It would be a believable scene if they had previously 
  admitted their feelings and if Akane were just a little less bold (like 
  if she starts the kiss, but wimps out, so Ranma finishes it)...I think 

I totally disagree.  First, ADMIT THEIR FEELINGS????  Get real.  Second, 
I think it fits perfectly.  Akane tends to act without thinking, (and 
Ranma speak without thinking, but that's another subject), so it fits 
perfectly there, plus, once it does happen, the shock would make them 
hold the kiss for a good long time.  I love that scene.
